Butterfly is a mythical pet in Grow a Garden that can be obtained through Anti Bee Egg. Butterfly has a unique skill that can impose growth-variant mutations on plants, and with a hunger value of up to 26,000, it is one of the most difficult pets to raise in the game. This pet is extremely rare and can only be obtained in limited-time events related to Anti Bee Eggs.

Each skill release and daily activities will consume hunger points.

It needs to be fed frequently, and it is recommended to use it with high-efficiency food or an automatic feeding device, otherwise it will easily starve to death.

Skill Mechanism

1. Active Skill: Rainbow Flutter

Trigger Condition: 

Every approximately 30 minutes (actual cooldown is affected by weight), automatically search for nearby fruits with 5 or more mutations.

Skill Effect: 

• Remove all crop mutations of the target fruit and grant it Rainbow Mutation.
• Does not affect Favorited fruits, players can protect important crops by favorites.

Skill Cooldown: The default cooldown is 30 minutes.

2. Cooldown is affected by the Weight of the Butterfly:

For example, a butterfly with a weight of 1 has a cooldown of 29.85 minutes; the higher the weight, the shorter the cooldown.

Skill Priority: Prioritize fruits that are not favorited and have a mutation number ≥ 5.

Fun Facts and Mechanisms

• Gold mutation is a Growth Mutation, not an Environmental Mutation, so only 4 Environmental Mutations + 1 Growth Mutation do not meet the Butterfly skill trigger condition.
• Butterfly is one of only two pets that can apply growth mutations, the other being Dragonfly.
• Although the Rainbow mutation has a only 50x bonus, it is still one of the strongest mutations in the entire game due to its multiplication mechanism when stacked with powerful mutations such as Shock and Celestial.

Advanced gameplay and skills

1. Bulk Rainbow Crop Method

Use Butterfly skills and Sprinklers to batch produce high-mutation crops. After the mutations are stacked, the butterflies will be uniformly converted to rainbows, greatly increasing the unit price and income of the crops.

2. Collection Protection Method

Mark the fruits that you do not want to mutate as collections to avoid butterfly misoperation and retain special varieties or experimental crops.

3. Cooperate with Dragonfly

Dragonfly is also one of the only pets that can grant growth mutations. It can complement Butterfly and choose the right pet for different needs.

How to obtain Butterfly?

1. Anti Bee Egg

• Synthesis method: In the Cosmetics Shop, use 1 Bee Egg + 25 units of specific materials (usually honey, flowers, etc.) to synthesize 1 Anti Bee Egg. Synthesis time is 2 hours.
• Event restrictions: Anti Bee Eggs are only available for synthesis during specific limited-time events and cannot be obtained after the event ends.
• Hatching probability: The probability of hatching a butterfly from an Anti Bee Egg is 1%, that is, on average, only 1 butterfly can be obtained for every 100 Anti Bee Eggs, which is extremely rare.

2. Premium Anti Bee Egg

Purchase method:

In the past, you could directly purchase Premium Anti Bee Eggs by spending 149 units of currency, and the probability of obtaining butterflies was also 1%.

This method may be out of print at present, and is only available in early events or special returns.

3. Synthesis material description

Bee Egg: Mainly obtained through daily tasks, event rewards or transactions.

Specific materials:

• Including honey, flowers, honey glazed plants, pollinated plants, etc.
