The Wind Plains is home to a large-sized amphibious species which is known as Chatacabra. It is also well known for its unique ability of using saliva to stick stones on its forelimbs, thus enhancing the strength of its punches for devastating attacks. Hunters should beware though, as it can use its long tongue to offensively strike or grab prey.

Elemental Weaknesses:

It is a known fact Chatacabra is weak to Ice and Thunder.

Status Weaknesses:

Poison, Paralysis and Stun effect are highly efficient.

Sleep, Blast and Exhaust inflict moderate effect.

Strategy: Target Chatacabra's Weak Points

As mentioned above, the tongue is Chatacabra's weak point. Attack it when the monster is tired or after it has whiffed an attack.

Attacking forelimbs increases the damage dealt to those areas while also reducing its offensive power.

Exploit Greed:

If you place barrel bombs in its sight Chatacabra is likely to swallow them unknowingly, thus removing them along with himself from the battlefield, which is advantageous.

Combat Strategies:

It's Tongue Attacks: Its long tongue has long and wide range. Stay mobile and keep dodging its strikes.

Exhaustion: Chatacabra is vulnerable while resting, so take this opportunity to deal heavy damage.
