Legendary Pets veio, porém atrasos demais.

In the early stages of Grow a Garden, you care about seeds and water. But as you hit the mid-to-late game, the bottleneck shifts. Suddenly, you are staring at Cooking Pots, waiting hours for high-tier recipes to finish.
Enter the Christmas Gorilla. Released in the December 2025 Christmas Harvest Event, this Legendary pet is not designed to help you farm; it is designed to help you process.
While its trading demand is currently low (3/10), do not let that fool you. For a specific type of player, this gorilla is the difference between a stagnant kitchen and a booming restaurant empire.
To understand the value of this pet, you have to look at the math of its trait, Cold Belly.
The Cycle:
Every ~4.5 to 5 minutes, the Gorilla performs a specific action:
1. The Cost: It grabs a fruit with a Cold-type mutation (e.g., Chilled, Frozen, Arctic) from your garden.
2. The Benefit: It reduces the remaining time on a random Cooking Pot by ~81–82 seconds.
Let's run the numbers:
In one hour (60 minutes), the trait triggers approximately 12 times.
12 triggers × ~82 seconds = ~984 seconds saved.
Result:
For every hour you are online with this pet equipped, you shave roughly 16.5 minutes off your cooking timers.
This might sound small in isolation, but if you are running multiple pots for a 10-hour AFK session, you are effectively creating nearly 3 hours of extra time.
The Christmas Gorilla is not a plug-and-play pet. It requires fuel.
The Problem:
If you don't have Cold-type fruits in your garden, the Gorilla does nothing. It goes hungry, and your pots stay slow.
The Solution (The Synergy):
This pet is the final piece of the Winter Meta.
Step 1: Use the Mistletoad or Penguin to generate Chilled or Arctic mutations on your crops.
Step 2: Let the Christmas Gorilla consume those mutated fruits.
Step 3: Enjoy faster cooking speeds.
What this means for you:
If you have the supporting pets (Penguin/Mistletoad), the Gorilla is a powerhouse. If you don't, it's a paperweight. This dependency is exactly why its market demand is only 3/10—casual players can't sustain its hunger.
Currently trading at 300Qi Sheckles or a mere 4 Tokens, the Christmas Gorilla is arguably the most undervalued Legendary in the game.
Why is it so cheap (in Tokens)?
Because it consumes resources. Most players hate pets that eat their profits.
The Opportunity:
Smart players know that the value of a finished high-tier dish (cooked faster) often outweighs the value of the raw Chilled fruit the Gorilla eats. You are trading raw materials for time.
Q: Does it reduce time for all pots at once?
A: No, it targets a random active pot. If you have 5 pots running, it will speed up one of them per trigger.
Q: What happens if I run out of Cold fruits?
A: The trait simply fails to trigger. The Gorilla waits until a new valid fruit appears. It will not eat non-mutated fruits.
Q: Is it better than the Drake?
A: They serve similar roles, but the Gorilla is easier to fuel during the Christmas event because Cold mutations are abundant.
The Christmas Gorilla is a specialized industrial tool, not a cuddly companion.
| Player Type | Rating | Reasoning |
|---|---|---|
| The Chef (Endgame) | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Essential for maximizing cooking throughput. |
| The Casual Farmer | ⭐⭐ | High maintenance; requires a steady supply of mutations. |
| The Trader | ⭐⭐⭐ | Low demand, but good to hold for long-term value. |
Final Recommendation:
If your daily routine involves checking cooking pots and you are tired of waiting, buy this pet immediately while it is cheap (4 Tokens). Just make sure you have a Penguin or Mistletoad working overtime to keep this beast fed. Time is money, and this Gorilla sells time.
