The Arkveld is a Flagship monster in Monster Hunter Wilds with unique powers. It was believed to be extinct by the Commission before recent sightings confirmed it. Now, it is one of the monster’s in the game that stand out because of its design, skills and rareness.

Arkveld wields the commanding prowess of energy. It can hunt Prey with its chains and absorb their energy to unleash horrific dragon element attacks. The chains are extremely weak though, and breaking them will unleash energy against it, making it weak.

Arkveld Hunting Tricks

Weaknesses:

Being a wild and free creature, extreme ice weaponry will not effect dragonoid Arkveld but almost all other elements will as well as swords to protect weaponry will break apart its chains. Therefore, imploring poision sleep, sedation, stun and blast are elemental weaknesses we can take advantage of.

Use Relic Warding Infliction equipment or weapons to weaken Arkveld in movements and reinforce control.

Chaining Strategy:

Chains are Arkveld's most prominent string, and also its biggest bomb. I suggest focus attacks on chains. Cuts will broaden its movement, and releasing blocked energy will provide ease during combat.

Head And Tail Break:

The head of Arkveld can be broken and the tail cut off. These sections provide the best materials, so focus on them when hunting.

Arkveld can trigger the dangerous status of Dragonblight that decreases your damage for elements. To counter this, bring Nullberries for instant effect removal.

Arkveld is one of the fastest monsters with unpredictable movements due to the chains or charging energy for dragon element attacks. Pay attention to its movements carefully and evade when it extends its chains or prepares a big attack.
