↖ Ghost: The New Burst King
Ghost's second-life mechanic was already annoying. Now it combos with weapons for real damage.
Best Ghost pairings:
- Triple Dark Blade — scariest burst in the game right now
- Dragonheart — melts HP fast
- Dragon Trident — stun setup for free follow-ups
- Fox Lamp / Shark Anchor — solid punish tools
- True Triple Katana — reliable sword pressure
How to play it: Open with a stun or gap-close. Fire your weapon combo immediately after the Ghost damage window. Save your second life for aggressive trades, not panic escapes.
How to beat it: Keep distance after their first engage. Don't panic when they revive — treat it as round two. Punish whiffed sword skills hard. If you stand still after a stun, you're dead.
↖ Werewolf: Heals Through Your Damage Now
Werewolf's Z move tracks better. That's the small buff. The big buff is the C→V combo.
The sequence:
1. C move triggers the rabies/speed effect
2. Close distance while it's active
3. V move — timed right, this heals a massive chunk of HP
Because of this, you can't just chip them to low and finish. If you notice them spamming C and rushing you, that's the setup for the heal. Bait it or punish before they land V.
Counters: Keep range so V has no value. Stun immediately after they pop C. Never chase a low HP Werewolf blindly — that's exactly when they recover.
↖ Mammoth: Small Numbers, Big Problem
+10% damage. +10% dash distance. Sounds minor. In practice, Mammoth now closes gaps you used to escape from — and hits like a truck when it lands.
Why it matters: bigger hitboxes + faster engage + high durability = you get cornered and shredded before you can react.
How to fight it:
- Poke with long-range skills before it closes in
- Move diagonally, not backward — straight retreats get caught
- Shark Anchor performs well against beast-form Mammoth
- Punish the recovery after a missed dash
↖ Gas & Flame: The Speed Winners
Gas is now noticeably faster — movement, skill execution, chase, all improved. Because raw speed lets you dictate every engage, Gas jumped from niche to genuinely dangerous.
Flame got sharper too:
| Move | Change |
|---|---|
| X move travel | +40% speed |
| V move cast time | -30% |
| V move travel | +30% speed |
Flame is no longer just ranged poke-and-pray. Use V as a mobility tool, chase retreats with the faster X, and stay mid-range instead of face-tanking.
Gas vs. Kitsune comparison:
| Fruit | Mobility | Ease of Use |
|---|---|---|
| Gas | Very fast (buffed) | Moderate |
| Kitsune | Still fast | Easy-moderate |
| Flame | Faster travel | Easy |
↖ Kitsune Got Nerfed — Not Killed
Wind-up dropped ~30%, but cooldowns went up and spam is way easier to punish now. Careless button-mashing gets you killed. Precise cooldown tracking still wins fights.
Adjust your play: Don't burn every cooldown on cooldown. Bait reactions with movement. Punish whiffs instead of spamming through them.
↖ Pain: High-Risk Comeback Mechanic
Death triggers a red HP state that drains over time. Get a kill before it runs out and you stabilize green. Miss the kill, you die.
This isn't a free win button — it's a clutch or vanish fruit. Only run Pain if you're confident finishing fights under pressure, ideally near an already-weakened target.
↖ Ice: Air Movement Is a Trap If You're Sloppy
You can now move in the air with Ice. Sounds great — until Gas, Kitsune, Ghost, or Werewolf users chase you down mid-air. Being airborne isn't safety. Reposition and land fast; don't hover to show off.

↖ FAQ
↖ Is Ghost the best fruit after this update?
Yes, arguably. The second-life mechanic plus weapon synergy with Triple Dark Blade or Dragonheart makes it the highest burst ceiling in the current meta.
↖ How does the new Werewolf healing actually work?
Trigger the C move to activate the speed/rabies effect, close distance, then land V — timed correctly it restores a huge chunk of HP mid-fight.
↖ Is Mammoth actually OP with just a 10% buff?
Yes. The +10% dash distance closes gaps that used to be safe, and the +10% damage turns close-range trades into one-sided beatdowns.
↖ Is Gas faster than Kitsune now?
In raw movement, Gas is arguably ahead post-buff. Kitsune still hits harder and has more established combo tools, but Gas is now a legitimate mobility pick.
↖ Is Kitsune still viable after the nerf?
Yes — it's still S-tier — but spam is punished harder now. Cooldown management and timing matter more than ever.
↖ Bottom Line
Ghost and Werewolf are the two builds you need to respect immediately — burst-with-a-second-chance and unkillable sustain are the hardest things to fight in this update. Mammoth, Gas, and Flame all got real, usable buffs worth building around. Kitsune took a hit but stays relevant if you play clean. Whatever you're fighting, slow the pace down — every OP fruit in this patch has one specific timing window that makes it work. Deny that window, win the fight.
