Armor is where players quietly lose. Resistances > raw armor value. Heavy damage in Act Two? That's a pierce resistance problem. Prepping for Warden Krieg? Stack Aether resistance first.
Key slots: helmet and chest for +skills and major resists; boots for movement speed and slow resistance; gloves for attack/cast speed.
Rings, amulets, belts, medals — the flexible slots that patch whatever your gear is missing. If your character looks geared but feels weak, your accessories are the problem.

Damage type matching is non-negotiable. An Aether caster gains nothing from fire gear. A poison build wants poison duration and % acid damage, not raw weapon damage. Check your main skill's tooltip first, then buy gear that scales it.
