The Blangonga is an imposing and fierce member of the Fanged Beast family that calls the Frostbite Cliffs home. It serves as a leader to a pack of Blangos below and on the base level of Congalala. Dominating the frozen wilderness, Blangonga uses its speed, strength, and snow white fur which allows it to seamlessly blend into the icy environment. Thick fur and sharp tusks does offer some protection, but the creature is highly vulnerable to fire making it easier for hunters using fire-element weapons.

Elemental Weaknesses:

The most effective element against Blangonga is fire.

Thunder can also be used, but fire will always be more effective.

Status Weaknesses: 

Blangonga can be weakened, controlled, or dominated with sleep, paralysis, blast, stun, poison, exhaust and even paralysis.

Strategy:

Stay mobile and don't get hit by Blangonga's jumps It's important to keep moving, even when using ranged weapons to avoid the beasts impressive jump range.

Counter iceblight and frostblight

Iceblight can reduce stamina recovery, bringing your levels down. Counter this using Nullberries. If your hit with frostblight, cleanse the affect quickly using a cleanser.

Target it's weak point

The hindquarters are and remain Blangonga's weakest points, focusing multiple attacks in the area should yield successful results.

Breakable Parts:

You'll want to focus on the tail and head of the Blangonga because both are breakable. Make sure to focus on these during the hunt because you'll gain additional rewards.

Bring Fire-Element Weapons:

Due to Blangonga's weaknesses, you will be at an advantage if you take fire-element weapons with you.
