Cat Form auto-attacks. Seal of Command procs. Holy finishers that hit like a truck. That's the Claw-sader — a build that shouldn't work on paper but absolutely melts trash packs and holds its own on bosses.

↖ What Makes This Build Tick
We're not playing Paladin. We're not playing pure Feral either. We're stealing the best parts of both and stacking them.
The engine: Agility → Attack Power → fast Cat Form attacks → Seal of Command procs + Consecrated Weapons → holy Feral bleeds and finishers finish the job.
No single button carries this build. It's death by a thousand procs.
↖ Why Path of Agility Is Non-Negotiable
| Interaction | Payoff |
|---|---|
| Agility → Attack Power in Cat Form | More direct damage |
| Agility → crit scaling | More combo points, harder finishers |
| Agility → dodge | Free survivability |
| Path of Agility conversion bonus | Agility becomes your best stat, period |
Gear heavy Agility. Skip mixed Str/Stam pieces unless they're clearly stronger overall.
↖ Mandatory Cards — Don't Skip These
Cat Form / Serpent Form + Light Swipe = the foundation. Without both, you're not playing this build.
| Card | Priority | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Cat Form / Serpent Form | Mandatory | Unlocks Feral energy gameplay |
| Claw | Mandatory | Main combo point generator |
| Light Swipe | Mandatory | Uncapped AoE + proc delivery |
| Consecrated Weapons | Mandatory | Holy on-hit damage, scales with attack speed |
| Seal of Command | Mandatory | Fast attacks = frequent free procs |
| Dawn Ripper / Dawn Rake | High | Holy DoT maintenance |
| Dawn Fang Bite | High | Burst spender |
Skip these: Avenging Wrath (kicks you out of form, mana friction). Predator Strikes and Purification by Light are replaceable — test them, don't commit blindly.
↖ Talents That Actually Move the Needle
Vitality isn't a comfort pick — it's a damage talent. Energy-starved rotations mean fewer Swipes, fewer procs, slower combo generation. If you're waiting on energy, Vitality is your next upgrade.
Feral Instinct boosts Swipe damage AND cuts Goldrinn's Fury cooldown per target hit:
| Targets Hit | CD Reduction |
|---|---|
| 3 | 3s |
| 5 | 5s |
| 10 | 10s |
| 20 | 20s |
Bigger pulls = faster cooldown engine. This is why the build explodes in dungeons.
Righteous Vengeance turns crit damage into bonus DoT. Since we crit constantly, this is free value stacked on top of value. Landing 5,000-7,000 crit Bites in mixed gear? That adds up fast across a full fight.
Core talent list: Ferocity, Vitality, Feral Instinct, Primal Fury, Predatory Instincts, Answered Prayers.
↖ Rotation: Priority, Not a Fixed Sequence
↖ Single-Target
1. Stay in form — losing it kills your flow
2. Consecrated Weapons active — always
3. Correct seal — Vengeance for bosses, Command for AoE
4. Maintain Rake and Rip
5. Claw to build combo points
6. Bite only when dots are stable
7. Pop cooldowns during high-uptime windows
If Rip's about to fall off, refresh it before spending on Bite. Simple rule, big damage difference.
↖ AoE
1. Seal of Command on
2. Goldrinn's Fury first
3. Sweeping Strikes for the multiplier
4. Spam Light Swipe — it's uncapped, hits the whole pack
5. Adrenaline Rush / Berserk to keep energy flowing
Pull 15-20 mobs and Swipe hits every single one. More targets = more procs = more damage. This is where the build separates itself from everything else.
Seal-swap habit: Command for trash → Vengeance right before boss pull → back to Command after. Free damage, zero cost.
↖ Gearing Priorities
| Priority | Stat | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Agility | Best overall scaling stat |
| 2 | Hit Rating (to cap) | Missed attacks = lost combo points and procs |
| 3 | Attack Power | Feeds multiple talents |
| 4 | Crit Rating | More combo generation, harder finishers |
| 5 | Haste | More swings, more procs |
| ❌ | Armor Penetration | Useless — holy damage ignores armor |
Don't get baited by Armor Pen items. Unless the rest of the item is overwhelmingly strong, that stat is dead weight on this build.
↖ Weapons: Dual-Wield or Two-Hander?
Cat Form attacks at a fixed baseline pace — roughly 1 attack/sec before haste. Weapons here function as stat sticks and proc enablers, not swing-speed tools.
| Setup | Pros | Verdict |
|---|---|---|
| Two one-handers | Flexible stat tuning, lower energy cost via Path of Agility | |
Recommended for most |
| One two-hander | Higher raw stat budget | Testable, less consistent |
|---|
Dual-wield wins for comfort and consistency, especially since this build is often energy-limited. Min-maxers can test two-handers with their exact gear — but start dual-wield.
↖ Leveling Notes
Dungeon farming? Light Swipe + Seal of Command carries most of your XP gain — prioritize AoE first.
Solo open-world? Keep Seal of Wisdom on standby. Shapeshifting drains mana fast if you're constantly popping in and out of form.
Struggling on elites but crushing normals? Shift investment into Rip, Rake, and Seal of Vengeance uptime.
↖ Mistakes That Kill Your Damage
| Mistake | Fix |
|---|---|
| Skipping Consecrated Weapons | Always run it — core engine |
| Ignoring seal swaps | Command for AoE, Vengeance for bosses |
| Chasing Armor Pen gear | Prioritize Agility/Hit/AP/Crit instead |
| Careless Avenging Wrath use | Swap in Berserk or Adrenaline Rush |
| Random combo point dumping | Keep Rip/Rake stable before spending |
If the build feels weak, check this list before you rebuild anything. 90% of the time it's a missing engine piece, not a bad build.
↖ Core Build Snapshot

↖ FAQ
↖ What are the mandatory cards for the Claw-sader?
Cat Form/Serpent Form, Light Swipe, Claw, Consecrated Weapons, Seal of Command. Cut any of these and you're not playing the same build anymore.
↖ Cat Form or Serpent Form — which is better?
Serpent Form, if you have it. Same core kit, plus extra poison damage on every attack. Cat Form still works fine as a baseline.
↖ Why run Seal of Command instead of a traditional Paladin seal?
Because Cat Form attacks fast. More swings = more Seal of Command procs. We're not playing Paladin correctly — we're using Paladin tools to boost Feral attack frequency.
↖ Is Armor Penetration worth chasing on gear?
No. This build's key damage is holy, and holy ignores armor. Armor Pen is essentially wasted stat weight here — prioritize Agility, Hit, AP, and Crit instead.
↖ Two one-handers or a two-hander?
Two one-handers, for most players. Better stat flexibility plus reduced energy cost through Path of Agility. Two-handers are testable but less consistently smooth.
↖ Bottom Line
Stack Agility. Run Light Swipe + Consecrated Weapons + Seal of Command as your non-negotiable core. Keep energy flowing with Vitality, keep dots stable before spending combo points, and swap seals like a pro — Command for trash, Vengeance for bosses.
This build doesn't need perfect gear to feel strong. It scales as you go, and it turns every big pull into a proc-fest. Get the core online, and the rest is just refinement.
