Auto-hunting in Ragnarok Zero Global is not about highest burst damage. It is about kills per hour, loot carried per trip, and how little babysitting the account needs.
For early release, we are ranking first jobs only. The target farm is low-level, high-volume loot: Pupa, Creamy, Caramel, Coco, and similar mobs.

The goal is simple: farm as many cards, Silk Robes, Coats, Hoods, Sandals, Zeny and early gear drops as possible while your main account does the real progression.

↖ Ragnarok Zero Global Auto-Hunting Tier List
| Tier | Class | Core Reason | Best Use |
|---|---|---|---|
| S | Merchant | Best weight capacity, cart, low downtime | 24/7 loot farmer |
| A | Acolyte | Increase AGI gives faster mob-to-mob movement | Low-HP card farming |
| A | Thief | Stable, cheap, low-maintenance | Long-term Rogue farmer |
| B | Swordsman | Good single-target damage, average efficiency | Simple low-level farming |
| B | Mage | High damage, but SP/cast downtime | Better active leveler |
| C/B | Archer | Strong range, poor weight and arrow management | Better main character |
This ranking assumes you are farming weak mobs that die fast. If you are pushing harder maps, the list changes.
↖ Best Farming Targets for First-Job Auto-Hunt
Early auto-farming works best when mobs die in one or two hits.
| Monster | Main Drops / Reason | Why Farm It |
|---|---|---|
| Pupa | Pupa Card | Easy kills, high-volume card hunting |
| Creamy | Creamy Card, Silk Robe | Valuable utility card and gear |
| Caramel | Caramel Card, Coat | Good early drops |
| Coco | Card, basic loot | Upper limit for this farming plan |
| Similar low mobs | Cards, gear, materials | Low risk, steady income |
Do not over-farm tanky monsters with first-job alts. More kills usually beat harder kills.
↖ S Tier: Merchant Auto-Hunting
Merchant is the best first-job auto-hunter for 24/7 farming.
The reason is not damage. It is weight economy.
Merchant gets:
- Increased Weight Limit
- Cart storage
- Fewer town trips
- Lower need for paid inventory upgrades
- Strong second-job future: Blacksmith or Alchemist
In real farming, this matters more than people expect. A character that kills fast but returns to town every 20 minutes loses badly to a Merchant that farms steadily for hours.
↖ Merchant Pros and Cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Best loot capacity | Lower single-target burst |
| Cart gives huge uptime | Cart Revolution may need setup |
| Cheap to maintain | No movement buff |
| Strong future value | Not the fastest killer |
↖ When to Pick Merchant
Pick Merchant if you want the safest farming alt.
If your goal is maximum passive profit, Merchant should be your first auto-hunting account.
↖ A Tier: Acolyte Auto-Hunting
Acolyte is the best speed-based low-level farmer.
The key skill is Increase AGI.
When mobs die quickly, walking time becomes the bottleneck. Acolyte reaches the next target faster, which means more kills per hour.
That matters on maps like Pupa, Creamy, and other low-HP mobs.
↖ Acolyte Pros and Cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Increase AGI improves movement speed | Average weight limit |
| Great for weak mobs | May need Gym Passes or inventory upgrades |
| Low downtime with proper build | Priest alt may not fit everyone |
| Strong card farming tempo | Less loot capacity than Merchant |
↖ When to Pick Acolyte
Pick Acolyte if you care about kill count more than carry weight.
If you can one-shot mobs and keep moving, Acolyte farms cards extremely well.
↖ A Tier: Thief Auto-Hunting
Thief is the reliable low-maintenance farmer.
It does not have Merchant's cart. It does not have Acolyte's Increase AGI. But it has what auto-hunting needs: stability.
Thief is cheap to run, easy to gear, and does not rely on annoying supplies.
It also becomes Rogue, which is one of the cleanest long-term farming paths.
↖ Thief Pros and Cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Low maintenance | Average weight limit |
| Good evasion | No movement-speed buff |
| Cheap supply cost | Not the highest burst |
| Strong Rogue future | Less efficient than Merchant for loot hauling |
↖ When to Pick Thief
Pick Thief if you want a farming account that just works.
It is not flashy. It is profitable because it stays online, kills steadily, and does not demand attention.
↖ B Tier: Swordsman Auto-Hunting
Swordsman is usable, but not optimized.
It has good single-target tools like Bash. That sounds great until you remember the target mobs are weak.
If a monster already dies fast, extra damage gives less value than:
- More movement speed
- More carry weight
- Less downtime
- Lower supply cost
↖ Swordsman Pros and Cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Good single-target damage | Average movement speed |
| Simple to play | No cart |
| Can one-shot low mobs | Build can feel stat-hungry |
| Future Knight/Crusader value | Less efficient than top picks |
↖ When to Pick Swordsman
Pick Swordsman only if you already want a future Knight or Crusader alt.
For pure auto-hunting income, it is not the best use of an account slot.
↖ B Tier: Mage Auto-Hunting
Mage has too much power for the wrong job.
It kills hard. No argument there.
The issue is farming rhythm:
- Casting takes time
- SP recovery cuts uptime
- Overkill wastes resources
- Sitting or consumable use hurts long sessions
For active leveling, Mage is strong. For weak-mob auto-farming, it is inefficient.
↖ Mage Pros and Cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Very high damage | SP dependent |
| Good for active play | Casting slows farming rhythm |
| Can handle tougher mobs | More downtime |
| Strong Wizard/Sage future | Overkill on weak mobs |
↖ When to Pick Mage
Pick Mage if you want an active character.
Do not pick it as your main 24/7 low-level farming alt unless your setup solves SP and downtime cleanly.
↖ C/B Tier: Archer Auto-Hunting
Archer is good, but annoying as a passive farmer.
The problem is not damage. The problem is logistics.
Archer needs:
- Arrows
- Quiver management
- More supply planning
- More weight control
That is fine on a main character. It is irritating on a background farming account.
↖ Archer Pros and Cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Strong ranged attacks | Arrow cost |
| Good kill speed | Weak weight capacity |
| Safe positioning | More maintenance |
| Good Hunter future | Poor passive farming comfort |
↖ When to Pick Archer
Pick Archer if it is your main or active alt.
For 24/7 auto-hunt, it only moves up if you invest in Gym Passes, inventory expansion, and a smooth arrow supply system.
↖ Best Auto-Hunting Account Setups
↖ Best Profit Setup
| Account | Class | Role |
|---|---|---|
| Main | Any active class | Progression and play |
| Alt 1 | Merchant | Long-session loot farming |
| Alt 2 | Acolyte | Fast card farming |
This is the strongest mix of carry weight and kill tempo.
↖ Lowest Maintenance Setup
| Account | Class | Role |
|---|---|---|
| Main | Any active class | Main gameplay |
| Alt 1 | Merchant | Stable profit |
| Alt 2 | Thief | Simple long-term farming |
This setup needs less babysitting. Good for players running multiple accounts.
↖ Future-Proof Setup
| Class | Future Job | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Merchant | Blacksmith / Alchemist | Strong 24/7 farming future |
| Thief | Rogue | Reliable farming path |
| Acolyte | Priest | Great if you want support utility |
Do not build farming alts only for week one. Build accounts that still matter after second jobs.
↖ Practical Auto-Hunting Rules
↖ Rule 1: Uptime Beats Burst
A farmer that stays out for two hours beats a stronger one that keeps returning to town.
This is why Merchant ranks S tier.
↖ Rule 2: Movement Speed Matters on Weak Mobs
If mobs die in one hit, the real bottleneck is walking.
This is why Acolyte is A tier.
↖ Rule 3: Avoid Supply Friction
Arrows, SP food, and constant restocking reduce profit.
This is why Archer and Mage drop for passive farming.
↖ Rule 4: Farm Easy Targets
Do not chase harder mobs too early.
Farm mobs that die fast and drop useful loot:
- Pupa
- Creamy
- Caramel
- Coco
More kill rolls. More card chances. Less downtime.
↖ Rule 5: Plan for Second Jobs
A farming alt should not become dead weight.
Best long-term paths:
- Merchant → Blacksmith / Alchemist
- Thief → Rogue
- Acolyte → Priest
↖ FAQ
↖ What is the best first job for auto-hunting in Ragnarok Zero Global?
Merchant is the best overall first job for auto-hunting. It has Increased Weight Limit, cart storage, low downtime, and strong future value as Blacksmith or Alchemist.
↖ Is Acolyte better than Merchant for card farming?
Sometimes. Acolyte can kill more weak mobs per hour because Increase AGI reduces walking time. But Merchant usually wins longer sessions because it carries more loot.
↖ Why is Thief A tier for auto-hunting?
Thief is cheap, stable, and low-maintenance. It also becomes Rogue, making it one of the safest long-term farming alts.
↖ Why are Mage and Archer not higher?
Mage loses time to casting and SP recovery. Archer loses efficiency to arrows, quivers, and weight issues. Both are better as active characters than passive 24/7 farmers.
↖ What should first-job auto-hunters farm early?
Farm weak, useful-drop mobs like Pupa, Creamy, Caramel, and Coco. The goal is high kill volume, not hard monster farming.
↖ Summary
For Ragnarok Zero Global first-job auto-hunting, the best classes are the ones with high uptime and low maintenance.
| Tier | Classes |
|---|---|
| S | Merchant |
| A | Acolyte, Thief |
| B | Swordsman, Mage |
| C/B | Archer |
Best practical setup:
- Merchant for 24/7 loot farming
- Acolyte for fast low-level card farming
- Thief if you want the lowest-maintenance long-term alt
If we are building only one farming alt, we build Merchant. If we are building two, we add Acolyte or Thief depending on whether we want more speed or less maintenance.
