Steal a Brainrot 8 x Server Luck Blocks Review: Drop Rates & ROI Analysis

Steal a Brainrot also changed the RNG meta with the recent update by introducing 8x Luck. In theory, this should be a smooth ticket to the rarest secrets. However, before you dash to the store, you should consider the paywall. You can't just buy the 8x Luck. You have to first get the 4x Luck (1,000 RB Coins) just to unlock the 8x for another 3,000 RB Coins.

Steal a Brainrot 8 x Server Luck Blocks Review: Drop Rates & ROI Analysis

For a temporary boost, that's not just a staggering amount, but the total investment is also high. Considering this, we decided to take on the pain and go through the Robux just to answer the question: Does 8x Luck actually result in more rewards, or is it just a money sink?

More Quantity than Quality

Our first test was in the standard lobby. Coming in with the 8x luck timer set to 44 minutes, we expected to be flooded with high-tier items. In an unexpected twist, this is what actually turned out to be the case.

The game showered us with rare items but not the ones we are hunting. I noticed new Mythics and Gold/Diamond variants of common Brainrots. If your goal is to shine basic units so a basic luck pass does its jobs. We pulled back to back Mythics and a ton of other Golden Brainrot units almost inst.

The Secrets are the most worthy items that actually justify spending 3,000 RB Coins. We got Lvaka and Choppy Choppy but these are considered low tier secrets. We wanted to get Gorama Madong not get so less valuable items. I mean we got more items but in a larger quantity and not as varied.

Why You Should Avoid Tsunami Mode

It makes sense to think we can carry this big luck boost to the Limited Time Mode (LTM) tsunami game. We thought we could luck in more of the seasonal exclusive items.

This was a mistake, and here is why.

Unlike other LTM modes, the spawning mechanics are unique. You are now up against a spawn timer instead of the rapid fire belt from the main lobbies. For example, 8x luck still has the same spawn rate as the other players, meaning you can only collect items as quickly as the game allows. We wasted time waiting for the game to spawn items, only to get junk such as Charalas and Golden Tables.

Additionally, the surroundings are more distracting. Even if a Brainrot God wars, the visual clutter, such as the yellow VIP zone, makes them more difficult to see. We thought the luck pass felt wasted to us. Since the item spawn rate is low, the % increase in luck does not seem to help much.

Breakdown Between 8x and 4x Luck

To help you see the better return on investment (ROI), we created a comparison chart from the data we collected during our testing.

Feature 4x Luck (1,000) 8x Luck (3,000 + Prereq) Verdict
Mythic Drop Rate Moderate High 8x helps fill the index, which is decent.
Secret Drop Rate Very Low Low to Medium Mostly spawns low-tier secrets, which is an improvement.
Brainrot God Spawns Rare Occasional Significant improvement, but still not much.
Fuse Machine Luck No Effect No EffectDo not buy for fusing.
LTM Utility Poor Poor Luck is useless here, as spawn timers make it counterproductive.
Overall ValueHot dog waterCold hot dog water Far too expensive for the results.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the 8x Luck help with the Fuse Machine?

No, this is a widespread misconception. The Fuse Machine is governed by its own internal luck system. You will need to spend (500 RB Coins) to manually enhance your fusion odds at the machine itself. Your 8x global luck does not help at all with this system.

Does 8x Luck guarantee a Secret?

Definitely not! In our testing, there were long dry streaks where we only got, dookie, Avocados, Trippy Troppys, etc. We did find some secrets, but they were on the lower end. You are paying for a higher chance, not a guarantee.

Can I pause the timer?

Negative. Once you buy it, the timer starts. This seems to add to the urgency of the game, but if you get a bad server or the spawns are slow, you just watch your money go down.

Final Recommendation

After spending a ton of RB Coins and sampling the LTM and main lobby, our advice is simple… Save your money.

8x Luck seems to feel like selling the casino, but it just feels like the odds are horrible. 3000 RB just doesn't make sense. You'd be better off waiting for a Sammy Event where the developers add luck for the entire server, or just grinding the game with the basic rates.

This game pass is a pass, unless you have money to burn or are in a frenzy for the Golden/Diamond versions of the common units.
