Adopt Me Peacock Update Guide: New Salon, Golden Dandelion Pets, and Moonbeam Peacock

The next Adopt Me update is giving the Salon a full refresh, but the real reason most players will visit is simple: three new peacock-themed pets are coming.

Adopt Me Peacock Update Guide: New Salon, Golden Dandelion Pets, and Moonbeam Peacock

Instead of buying a normal egg, we'll use a new Robux item called the Golden Dandelion. It costs 195 Robux and gives one of three pets: Peahen, Peachick, or Moonbeam Peacock.

As longtime Adopt Me players know, Robux chance items usually create a messy trading market on release day. Some pets get overpriced fast, especially the rarest legendary. So before spending Robux or trading away good Adopt Me pets, it helps to know what is actually changing.

What's New in the Adopt Me Peacock Update?

This update focuses on the Salon, but it also adds new pets, a new item, and removes one old roleplay job.

FeatureDetailsPlayer Impact
Salon revamp New earthy, spa-like interior The Salon feels calmer and more modern
Boss job removed The old Boss role is leaving Less roleplay clutter inside the Salon
Golden Dandelion Costs 195 Robux Used to get one of the new pets
Three new pets Peahen, Peachick, Moonbeam Peacock New trading and collection targets
Soap item Portable care-style item May help with bath needs or pet color cleanup

The update arrives on Friday, right after the current Final Stop shop leaves. If you still need to trade with Shawn, do it before then.

How to Get the New Peacock Pets

To get one of the new pets, you'll need to buy and use a Golden Dandelion.

This works more like a premium chance item than a normal egg. You pay Robux, use the item, and receive one pet from the update pool.

StepWhat to Do
1 Go to the revamped Salon after the update releases
2 Buy a Golden Dandelion for 195 Robux
3 Use or throw it in the Salon area
4 Receive one of the three new peacock pets

If you only want one specific pet, especially the Moonbeam Peacock, trading may be safer than opening many Golden Dandelions. Robux can disappear quickly when the result is random.

All New Peacock Pets and Rarities

The update adds three peacock-family pets. They are not all simply called Peacock, which is a nice detail. A peahen is the female peafowl, while a peachick is a baby peafowl.

PetRarityExpected Demand
Peahen Ultra-Rare Medium
Peachick Legendary High
Moonbeam Peacock Legendary Very High

The Moonbeam Peacock will probably be the main chase pet. Adopt Me already had an older Peacock pet, but this new version uses the Moonbeam style, similar to the popular Moonbeam Butterfly.

That means players can expect a more magical look, likely with blue, purple, pale glow effects, and a more premium design.

Is the Golden Dandelion Worth Buying?

The Golden Dandelion costs 195 Robux per try, so it's worth thinking before buying a lot.

AttemptsTotal CostBest For
1 195 Robux Casual players
5 975 Robux Collectors testing their luck
10 1,950 Robux Serious pet hunters
20 3,900 Robux High-budget players only

From past Adopt Me premium item updates, the rarest pet usually becomes expensive early because everyone wants it at once. We've seen this pattern with other Robux-based pet items: the first few hours are full of overpays, rushed trades, and wild value guesses.

If you get the Moonbeam Peacock early, don't trade it too quickly. Early offers can look big, but many are filled with low-demand pets. A smaller offer with strong pets or potions can be better than a huge bundle of weak adds.

What Should You Do Before the Update?

Before Friday, it's smart to prepare your inventory and decide your spending plan.

Before FridayWhy It Matters
Trade with Shawn He is leaving when the update arrives
Set a Robux limit Prevents overspending on random chances
Save potions and good pets Useful for trading new pets
Avoid panic trading Release-day values are unstable
Wait for duplicate sellers Players who open many Dandelions may trade extras cheaper

If you are free-to-play, don't worry. You can still trade for the pets. The Peahen should be the easiest target, while the Peachick and Moonbeam Peacock will likely need stronger offers.

New Soap Item: Why It Could Be Useful

The update also adds a bar of soap item. Based on what has been shown, it looks like a portable care item.

It may help complete bath needs, and it could possibly remove pet color without needing to return to the Salon. The final function will be clearer once the update is live.

Use CaseWhy Players Care
Bath task Could save time while grinding
Pet coloring May help clean or reset pet color
Raising pets Portable care items make aging faster
Neon making Small time-savers matter over many tasks

For players who grind neons, even a small convenience item can be useful. Less running back home means faster task cycles.

Trading Tips for the Peacock Pets

The first day of an Adopt Me update is usually the worst time to guess values. Everyone wants the new pets, but nobody fully knows the odds or long-term demand yet.

Your GoalBest Strategy
Get any new pet Try one Golden Dandelion or trade for Peahen
Get Peachick Wait for more players to open Dandelions, then offer
Get Moonbeam Peacock Prepare strong legendaries, potions, or older pets
Make Neon/Mega Wait a few days for prices to calm down

If you see players asking for huge overpays for the Peahen, wait. Since it is Ultra-Rare, more copies should appear as players keep opening Golden Dandelions.

The Moonbeam Peacock is different. As the chase legendary, it may stay expensive longer, especially if the design looks as good as expected.

The Golden Dandelion costs 195 Robux.

What pets can we get from the Golden Dandelion?

What rarity is the Moonbeam Peacock?

The Moonbeam Peacock is Legendary and will likely be the most wanted pet from this update.

No. The Moonbeam Peacock is a new pet. It is inspired by the peacock theme, but it is not just the old Peacock returning.

Is the Salon job being removed?

The Boss job is being removed. The Salon is being redesigned around care, comfort, and the new update features.

Should free-to-play players skip this update?

Not at all. Free-to-play players can still trade for the new pets. The best move is to wait until more players open Golden Dandelions and extra pets enter the market.

Summary

The Adopt Me Peacock Update brings a fresh Salon redesign, a new soap item, and three new pets through the 195 Robux Golden Dandelion.

The Peahen should be the easiest to get, the Peachick will likely be popular because it is Legendary, and the Moonbeam Peacock is clearly the main chase pet.

Our best advice: trade with Shawn before Friday, set a Robux limit, don't overpay too early, and watch the market for a few days before making big trades. This update looks simple on the surface, but the trading side could get very spicy very fast.
