Blox Fruits Mythic Only Challenge: Full Level 1–700 Speedrun Guide & Tier List

What do you think happens when you limit a fresh Level 1 account to only using Mythic-tier Devil Fruits? We mean the whole range from the regular Yeti to the rare mutations like Fiend Yeti, Werewolf, and Emperion Kitsune.

Blox Fruits Mythic Only Challenge: Full Level 1–700 Speedrun Guide & Tier List

To discover the truth, we conducted the full experiment of taking a fresh account from the Starter Island to Level 700 (the end of the First Sea). The only exception? Each time we moved to a new island, we spun a wheel and had to afford ourselves to use whatever random Mythic fruit had been chosen. We had no chances to do a different Mythic.

Out of the data and information we collected, we were able to create a guide based on the information we gathered. We observed and wanted to detail exactly how while a number of Mythic fruits are incredible, a number of others are annoying. Here are the data we collected, the methods that we created that allowed us to circumvent time, and the analyses of different fruits that will allow you to level quickly.

The Rules of the Run

Before we break down the islands, let's clarify the setup. These constraints shaped our entire strategy, and they apply to anyone trying to optimize their First Sea grind:

The Wheel of Pain: We included every Mythic fruit and mutation. If the wheel landed on it, we had to use it until the next island.

Stat Distribution: We prioritized Blox Fruit stats above all else. We sprinkled points into Melee only for energy and Defense only when necessary.

Double XP: We activated this from the start. If you value your time, you should too—it effectively cuts the grind in half.

Why does this matter? Because we tested these fruits in a starved state—without max stats or endgame accessories. This is how they really perform for a beginner.

Island-by-Island Strategy & Fruit Performance

Here is exactly what happened at each stage, the fruits we rolled, and the specific tactics we used to clear content fast.

Levels 1–30: Starter Island & Jungle (Yeti)

Fruit: Yeti

Verdict: Solid Start

The regular Yeti fruit is a surprisingly competent starter. The Arctic Clap skill has enough Area of Effect (AoE) to group up the low-level bandits and gorillas efficiently. Since enemies here have minimal HP, raw damage isn't as important as hitting multiple targets at once.

Pro Tip: Even with a Mythic fruit, the early cooldowns can be brutal. Buy the Slingshot as soon as you have the cash. It bridges the gap between your skills and smooths out the first 15 levels.

Levels 30–55: Pirate Village (Dragon West)

Fruit: Dragon West

Verdict: Absolute Domination

This was the highlight of the early game. Dragon West is arguably the best grinding fruit for this level range. Why? Because the basic mouse-click attack (M1) deals massive damage and has natural AoE. We didn't even need to wait for cooldowns; we just flew in and clicked pirates out of existence.

Don't Miss This: Before you leave the Pirate Village, fly up and grab the Cape accessory. It gives a flat 5% damage buff. It's free, it's easy, and you should be wearing it.

Levels 55–90: Desert Island (Spirit)

Fruit: Spirit

Verdict: The First Stumble

Here is where the reality of Mythic doesn't always mean good hit us. Spirit is designed for PvP control, not for farming NPCs. The knockback on skills is annoying because it scatters enemies you're trying to group up.

Strategy: If you are stuck with Spirit, stop trying to burst enemies individually. Use the spirit pull mechanic to drag enemies into a tight cluster, then hit them with Wrath of Ra. It's slower than Dragon, but it prevents you from chasing mobs across the desert.

Levels 90–120: Frozen Village (Venom)

Fruit: Venom

Verdict: The Safest Grind

Venom introduced us to the AFK style of grinding. We found a spot on top of a house near the Snow Bandits where they couldn't reach us. We simply dropped poison pools below, and the AI walked right into them.

Boss Strategy (Yeti): The Yeti boss hits hard at this level. With Venom, you just need to maintain spacing. Apply your DoT (Damage over Time) and kite him. If you keep your distance, this fight is zero risk.

Levels 120–190: Marine Fortress (Mammoth & Fiend Yeti)

Fruit: Mammoth (120-150) / Fiend Yeti (150-190)

Verdict: Mixed Bag

Mammoth was a pleasant surprise. The Stampede skill is fantastic for gathering the Chief Petty Officers into a pile, and the transformed attacks cover a wide area. We cleared these 30 levels in just two quest cycles.

Fiend Yeti, on the other hand, felt like a downgrade. It's a mutation, so it sounds cool, but for pure grinding, it lacks the punch of Mammoth or Dragon. It gets the job done, but don't expect fireworks.

Levels 190–300: Prison (Emperion Kitsune & Tiger)

Fruit: Emperion Kitsune (Galaxy Form) / Tiger

Verdict: Boss Melters

The Prison is notorious for having three annoying bosses (Warden, Chief Warden, Swan). Emperion Kitsune trivialized this. The Firestorm hold-attack shreds boss HP bars, and the AoE is large enough to hit multiple prisoners even if they aren't perfectly stacked.

At Level 250, we swapped to Tiger.

Crucial Mechanic: Always fight in Transformed Mode. The base form of Tiger lacks a click combo, which makes grinding painful. Once transformed, you get a fast click combo and finger guns that knock enemies back.

Levels 300–450: Magma Village & Underwater (Dough & Shadow)

Fruit: Dough (300-375) / Shadow (375-450)

Verdict: High Skill, High Reward

Dough turned Magma Village into a playground. The Clothesline move is the best grouping tool in the First Sea. You can spin, grab every enemy, and slam them together.

Shadow revealed a hidden mechanic against the Fishman Lord boss.

The Boss Skip Tech: Shadow's Corvis Torment deals such extreme burst damage that if you time it right, you can kill the Fishman Lord before he triggers his second phase. We confirmed this twice—it skips the invulnerability phase entirely, saving massive amounts of time.

Levels 450–625: Upper Sky Island (Kitsune & Werewolf)

Fruit: Kitsune / Werewolf

Verdict: Speed Kings

Kitsune brings pure aggression. The attack speed is relentless, allowing us to clear roughly 25 levels in the time it takes to listen to a single song.

Werewolf shines in mobility. The Upper Sky map is huge, and running between Whisper and the Thunder God takes forever. Werewolf's movement speed cut our travel time significantly. Plus, the Hyper Werewolf form's Spiral attack chunks boss HP reliably.

Levels 625–700: Fountain City (T-Rex)

Fruit: T-Rex

Verdict: The Final Push

We ended with T-Rex. While the transformed Fury mode looks cool, we actually found the Base Form to be better for the Cyborg boss. The base form is smaller, making it easier to dodge the Cyborg's rockets (which will one-shot you if you have low Defense).

The Mythic Grinding Tier List (First Sea Edition)

Based on our run, here is how the Mythics rank specifically for leveling efficiency. Note that this is different from a PvP tier list.

Tier Fruits Why?
S (God Tier)Dragon West, Kitsune Insane click damage, flight, and speed. These make grinding feel like a speedrun.
A (Excellent)Emperion Kitsune, Dough Great AoE and grouping mechanics. Dough's Clothesline is a highlight.
B (Solid)Tiger, Mammoth, Shadow Good damage but require specific setups (Transformation or specific combos).
C (Average)Yeti, Venom, Werewolf, T-Rex They work, but they are either slow or unsafe without high stats.
D (Avoid)Spirit, Fiend Yeti Too much knockback or low damage output makes them frustrating for quests.

FAQ

Q: Can I really use Shadow to skip boss phases?

A: Yes, but it requires high Blox Fruit stats. If your burst damage from Corvis Torment exceeds the boss's remaining HP threshold for the phase change, the game registers the kill before the transformation script runs. It's tricky to time, but very effective.

Q: Is Double XP necessary?

A: It's not necessary to finish, but it is necessary to stay sane. Without it, you are doing double the quest loops. If you can afford it, pop it at Level 1.

Q: Why do you prioritize Blox Fruit stats over Melee?

A: In the First Sea, your fruit is your main weapon. Melee is only for Energy (Stamina). If you split your stats evenly, you won't do enough damage to one-shot NPCs, which slows down your grind significantly. Put 70-80% of your points into Blox Fruit.

Q: Which fruit should I aim for if I can only pick one?

A:Dragon West. The combination of flight for travel and high-damage auto-attacks makes it the undisputed king of the First Sea grind.

Summary

As much as Mythic sounds enticing, this experiment showed not every fruit is equally valuable for Levels 1-700.

For those of you following in our footsteps, here's something to keep in mind: Mechanics beat Rarity. That means a fruit like Dough or Dragon West reigns supreme not just for having big numbers, but moreso for how the hit mechanics work (grouping and click-damage). On the other hand, Spirit is a lot more difficult to use because the mechanics work against you when you want to farm NPCs.

We survived the First Sea, but the real challenge is just beginning. We are getting ready to use this same roulette wheel in the Second Sea where the enemies are tougher and the mastery requirements are higher.

We hope to see you again, and we wish you the best on your spins.
