Yes, Escape Tsunami For Brainrots IS a simple game. The objective is to run from the wave or tsunami and collect as many coins as possible. What most players DON'T see is the hours and hours of testing game mechanics, grinding to the top of the leaderboard, and realizing how many glitches, hidden events, and secret prizes are possible.

If you are simply running away from the water, you are doing it wrong. There are plenty of ways to phase through walls, duplicate your best guys, and maximize your rewards during event prizes. Most other players are doing this wrong, and that is the current meta.

↖ How to Conquer Event Obbys
Most players spend their focus on the item drops from the Money Event and the Radioactive Event, but this is a mistake. The real money to be made is in the secret jumps the other players ignore, which teleport you to secret obstacle courses (obbys).
We know these are not just for looks as they give large rewards. During a Money Event, you can find a jumping man icon on the carpet. This means you are in for a secret, as this is a hidden parkour challenge! There is not just one level to this challenge, but three and you will have to finish all three in order.
Here are the details on the rewards we confirmed after reviewing them:
| Obby Level | Difficulty | Reward | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Easy | 1 Money Lucky Block | Simple jumps, easy to speedrun. |
| Level 2 | Medium | 2 Money Lucky Blocks | Requires sideways movement to avoid lasers. |
| Level 3 | Hard | 3 Money Lucky Blocks | Long and unforgiving. Total of 6 blocks if you finish all three. |
Pro Tip:
The same logic applies for the Radioactive Event. Completing that specific obby rewards you with a Radioactive Lucky Block, and those should not be skipped as they are basically free high-tier loot.
↖ Game Physics: Speed and Phasing
Game physics is what allows top players to make the moves they do. They seem to just disappear into walls or go to spots no one else can reach, and it's not always a hack.
↖ Glitching Through the Wall
We've learned that speed is the best way to break boundaries. If your speed stat is high enough (around 370+ is the sweet spot) it is possible to physically push your character through solid objects. If you run back and forth quickly enough on a thin wall (like the wall displaying the leaderboard or the glass wall of the VIP area) you can phase through it. It is a little buggy and inconsistent, but with a little determination you can use this method to access restricted zones.
↖ The Super Jump
You can also use this method to launch yourself into the air without the use of any flying game pass. The trick is to run full speed toward a ladder or any other object that is at an angle. If you time your forward movement just right when you hit the object, the game's physics engine freaks out and throws you up. We were able to use this technique to get through the top of a base. It is very effective and can really change the way you move around the game.### The Speed Cap
When it comes to speed, there will always be players in the leaderboards with 15k or 10k speed. Opposed to chasing that, these are legacy stats from before the developers patched the system. As it stands now, the game has a hard speed cap at 5,000 speed. No matter how much money you throw in the upgrade shop, you will never go above that limit.
↖ Economy Secrets: VIP, Merchants, and Stealing
Making money and earning exclusive items is a combination of both luck and knowledge of where to go.
↖ The Mystery Merchant
The Mystery Merchant is a hidden NPC that randomly appears. Unlike normal stores, this merchant offers Celestial Lucky Blocks which are normally 10 Money Bags. The catch is that her inventory is global and extremely limited, usually only 100 total. As soon as you see this NPC, buy as fast as you can before the stock is gone.
↖ Stealing
The core mechanics of the game are centered on stealing. And in this case, stealing Brainrots from other players. Contrary to popular belief, your equipment has a huge impact on how successful you are. We tested the Rainbow Coil (found in Pro Pack) and the advantage was massive.
Picking up an item to steal them usually reduces your speed. But the Rainbow Coil works differently. You keep the speed boost even when you are carrying an item. So you can escape with stolen items way faster than other players. If you have this along with good speed, it's almost impossible for people to catch you.
Costs Warning Tread carefully with who you decide to steal from. The price in Robux for stealing an item depends on its mutation level. For example, stealing a Level 1 Celestial could cost 500 Robux. But stealing a Level 150 version of the same unit can cost up to 2,000 robux. Always check the price before you steal.

↖ VIP vs. VIP+
Is the upgrade worth it? We compared VIP pass (149 Robux) to VIP+ (888 Robux) and the difference is clear. While normal VIP increases your luck, only VIP+ gives you a clear survival advantage. With VIP+ you get a bigger safe pocket that is near the Celestial spawn area. While testing, those in the VIP+ zone were able to survive waves that took out other players. If you want to survive the late game waves, the extra space is essential.
↖ Meta of the Fuse Machine: Duplication & Swapping
There are many features of the Fuse Machine but the most useful thing about it is not just simply fusing units; it's also about tricking the system.
↖ Level Inheritance
If you possess multiple god units and a single trash unit at a high level, do not level the god unit up; do not do it. We have tested that if you place the god unit in the first slot and the paradox unit in the fuel slots, the resulting unit assumes the high level. We changed a Level 1 Celestial into a Level 137 beast in a matter of seconds by using maxed out common units.
↖ Mutation Swapping
You can also transfer a good mutation, say Gold or Rainbow, from a bad unit to a good one. By fusing a mutated unit into a non-mutated unit, there is a chance the mutation will transfer to the new unit, which is a huge gamble, because the unit type can change, but it is the one in the few ways you can create the perfect unit with perfect stats.
↖ Duplication Glitch
This is the holy grail of secrets. There is a mechanic involving the Luck Bar in the fuse menu.
1. To max out your luck, you must stay in the server for 45 minutes.
2. Put your most valuable items, including Divines, in the machine.
3. Fuse them.
If this is successful, you will get a message that says: Your luck duplicated your brain rot. We have seen people do this and go from one Divine to two. However, this is a risky process, and should only be done when the luck bar is completely full.
↖ FAQ
Q: Can anyone use the Free Camera mode (Shift+P)?
No. Shift+P will toggle a cinematic mode, but the true free camera that allows you to fly underground is only for players in the Content Creator program. To get that, you have to be accepted on their Discord.
Q: Does the Crack in the Wall lead anywhere?
Developers have recently put an invisible block in that area. Players used to be able to glitch through a crack in the map and find a secret room, but not anymore. If you look in the right angle, it may appear that you can enter the room, but it is no longer possible.
Q: Can I get multiple Money Bats?
Of course, Money Bats from the spin wheel are not one-time items. You can store multiple bats in your inventory which is worth it considering they have power multipliers ranging from 1.25x to 1.5x. That said, I recommend you spin a few times to get the best possible multiplier.
↖ Final Thoughts on Mastery
Escape Tsunami is not your average running simulator. It is a game about economics and the laws of physics. By taking advantage of the event obbys to get free loot, using the Rainbow Coil to steal loot quicker, and learning how to use the fuse machine to duplicate items, you can go from being a mere player to a true legend.
Don't forget to monitor your server time for that Max Luck bonus and keep watching the carpet for the Mystery Merchant. Running to win the best items in the game is not enough. You have to play smart!
