Finish Dalaran's Access Chain Before Traveling

If you are around level 30, City of Dalaran is the first new dungeon to investigate. Its access chain begins with different quests for each faction:

• Alliance:An Alarming Request, from Emissary Jacques in Southshore.
• Horde:Key to the City and Prison Break-In, from Magus Wordeen Voidglare in Tarren Mill.

Starting the chain is not completing access. Check your progress before arranging the party's journey; the introductory quests alone should not be treated as proof that you can enter.

Use Riverglades and Hyjal Without Guessing Their Quest Brackets

If you need another questing destination, Riverglades offers stories for both factions, while Mount Hyjal is presented as the climax of leveling. The official dungeon and raid pages reviewed here do not establish exact outdoor quest starting levels.

That distinction prevents a costly mistake: assigning an entire zone the level range of a dungeon inside it.

Pair Riverglades Questing With Krol'dok

Alliance players encounter the Brotherhood of the Horse; Horde players meet the Bolder'ok ogres. Both stories involve the Twilight's Hammer's regional presence.

If you are questing nearby at 40–45, check available Krol'dok Stronghold quests before joining a group. We can recommend investigating that local connection, but we cannot claim it beats another route without travel times, quest rewards, and completion results.

Treat Bloodmasters' Ring as an Encounter, Not a Guaranteed Upgrade

Bloodmasters' Ring is an ogre fighting arena. Its resemblance to familiar arena quest chains does not establish a best-in-slot weapon reward.

Inspect the actual reward before prioritizing it. If there is no meaningful upgrade for your build, the encounter's appeal is exploration—not proven gearing efficiency.

Keep Hyjal Flexible

If Hyjal's available quests exceed your character's capabilities, continue suitable content elsewhere. Neither its role in the story nor its level-60 raids proves that all outdoor quests begin at level 59.

Prepare Materials and Raid Access Before Level 60

Late-level preparation is not only about gear. If you discard useful materials or postpone required quest chains, reaching level 60 will not resolve those missing steps.

Save Un'Goro Power Crystals

If you plan to run Shaper's Terrace at 58–60, keep power crystals collected in Un'Goro. Blizzard states that these materials are used at consoles inside the dungeon.

Do not farm an invented quantity. The official overview does not specify the required stack sizes, consumption rules, or console effects.

Choose a Raid Your Roster Can Support

Blizzard's official raid overview schedules three level-60 raids to open on December 9, 2026.

Pick by reliable roster size; fewer players does not automatically mean easier encounters.

Start Onyxia's Attunement Early

If your group plans to enter Onyxia's Lair, begin the faction-specific chain before raid night:

• Alliance:Dragonkin Menace, from Helendis Riverhorn in the Burning Steppes.
• Horde:Blood and Thunder, from Warlord Goretooth in Kargath.

Carry the Drakefire Amulet in your inventory; it does not need to be equipped. Blizzard also recommends fire resistance, but its overview gives no numerical target.
