Melee fighters are the most punished class in terms of potion dependency. Every single point you heal requires you to take an HP potion, and every spell or skill also drains your MP. As long as you apply basic punches, you will heal. As a warrior, try using Basic Attack until you zip past level 20.

White potions do restore a high value of HP, but red potions restore almost the same amount while being a lot cheaper.
