AION 2 Global PvE rewards disciplined scheduling, not endless grinding. Clear expiring weekly content first, spend Odel Energy only on relevant upgrades, and combine open-world objectives into the same route.

AION 2 Global PvE Guides: Dungeons, Raids and Weekly Priorities

Global launches on October 5, 2026, with five-player party content and 10-player raids. Season 1 is expected to include six Expedition dungeons, two Transcendence dungeons, Abyssal Forge Ludra, Nightmare, Ascension Trials, field bosses, and several daily systems.

Exact entry limits, membership benefits, and economy values can differ from the Korean client. Check the live Global interface before consuming limited entries or buying membership for a specific perk.

AION 2 PvE Priority List

The main mistake is treating every activity as equally urgent. It is not.

Use limited entries before unrestricted content:

PriorityActivityPrimary GainStop or Skip When
1 Sanctuary Bracelets and raid gear Never skip a rewarded weekly clear
2 Ascension Trials Stigma Shards Lower difficulty if failure threatens an entry
3 Conquest Expeditions Gear and Kina Stop spending energy after drops become obsolete
4 Transcendence Arcana and upgrade materials Drop a tier if timer failures become common
5 Daily Dungeons Enhancement Stones or pet materials Switch targets when your bottleneck changes
6 Nightmare Shop currency and class practice Use instant clear only after mastering the fight
7 Duty Missions and Command Scrolls Daily and weekly resources Avoid low-value rewards in distant zones
8 Field Bosses Gear, paintings, titles Skip weak targets without a needed collection reward
9 Sealed Dungeons and Strongholds Permanent passive progression Clear once per serious character
10 Pet and overworld farming Pet Souls and capped income Stop after reaching the daily economic limit

Best rule: protect weekly rewards first; use repeatable farming to fill the gaps.

Expedition Dungeons: Spend Energy on Real Upgrades

Expeditions form the core gear route. Each launch dungeon has Exploration and Conquest versions.

Use Exploration to learn mechanics. Farm Conquest for progression.

Expedition Tiers

TierDungeonsPractical Goal
One-star Crow Cave, Drabnir Replace leveling gear and meet higher entry requirements
Two-star Urugulu Canyon, Vakran Sky Island Build a complete midgame set
Three-star Fire Temple, Ferocious Horn Den Target the strongest Expedition drops available at launch

Global uses stricter item-level gates than the route many players followed during Korea's opening period. Upgrade several weak slots instead of pouring every Enhancement Stone into one weapon; total item level usually responds better to balanced replacements.

Do not rush the stars.

Exploration Versus Conquest

Exploration offers forgiving mechanics and lower-pressure learning. Enter it when you do not yet recognize boss telegraphs, interrupt windows, or route hazards.

Conquest offers the meaningful equipment route. Move there once your group can execute the encounter without repeated deaths.

When should we avoid Conquest? If your party cannot reliably reach the reward chest, practice in Exploration rather than turning every attempt into a repair bill and a group dispute.

One-Boss, Two-Boss, or Full Clear?

Each Conquest boss has its own chance to drop equipment. Skipping intermediate bosses saves time but removes loot opportunities.

RouteUse It ForFailure Point
Final boss only Completion rewards, Kina, or materials Poor choice when intermediate bosses hold upgrades
Two bosses Targeted farming with a convenient skip Route advantage disappears after a wipe
Full clear Maximum equipment opportunities Inefficient after most drops become obsolete

Run all three bosses while gearing. Switch to a shorter route only after checking which bosses still have relevant drops.

Fire Temple may support an efficient two-boss route, but the shortcut is not automatically superior. If skipping requires dangerous pulls, a stable full clear wins on reward value per hour.

Protect Your Odel Energy

The end-of-run reward cube consumes Odel Energy. Regeneration and membership rates are service-specific, so rely on the Global client's displayed values rather than Korean-client assumptions.

Before opening a cube, ask:

1. Can this dungeon replace more than one equipped item?

2. Does it drop a collection component we still need?

3. Can we clear the next tier reliably?

4. Would the same energy produce better gear elsewhere?

If every equipment drop is a downgrade, stop opening that dungeon's cube. Return only for titles, paintings, wings, achievements, extraction materials, or a specific market target.

Do Not Auto-Extract Every Duplicate

Unwanted equipment may still support synthesis, enhancement resources, appearance collection, or future progression systems. Check every secondary use before extracting a Unique item.

Expeditions also provide dungeon-specific collection materials. Paintings feed Pantheon progression, while wings may serve collections, alternate characters, or the player market.

Transcendence: Reliable Clears Beat Higher Difficulty

Transcendence supplies Arcana, Arcana improvement materials, and Stigma-related progression. The documented launch lineup includes Deis Research Base and Shattered Archonis.

Runs combine named enemies, a required monster count, and a final boss under a continuous timer. Higher difficulties add tougher enemies, larger kill requirements, hazards, and expanded boss mechanics.

Choose Difficulty by Completion Rate

The wrong question is, What is the highest level we can enter? Ask, What is the highest level we can finish without recovery stops?

Use this progression test:

  • Move up when the current tier ends with spare time and few deaths.
  • Stay when the clear is close but repeatable.
  • Move down after consecutive timer failures.
  • Change the route if you repeatedly overfill the monster requirement.

Global prelaunch material indicates that level-one Transcendence can award Rare Arcana. That keeps the introductory tier relevant for early progression.

Control Pull Size

Oversized pulls look fast until crowd control expires. If enemies scatter, apply damage-over-time effects, or force the healer into emergency cooldowns, reduce the pull.

Assign one player to track the kill count. Extra packs after meeting the requirement waste time unless they block the final-boss route.

Skip optional combat.

Daily and Weekly PvE: Build One Efficient Route

Reset-based content should dictate your schedule. Field farming should not.

Duty Missions and Command Scrolls

Duty Missions supply daily objectives; Command Scrolls cover weekly tasks. Their rewards can include Kina, Enhancement Stones, crystals, and overworld keys.

The source build displays several possible rewards in ordered slots, with rerolls purchased using Kina. If Global retains that structure, place your target resource in a favorable slot before accepting the task.

Do not reroll blindly. Stop when the expected reward no longer justifies the Kina cost.

Then group missions by location:

1. Select one progression resource.

2. Review available missions before teleporting.

3. Stack kill objectives in the same zone.

4. Combine missions with gathering, Pet Souls, or map completion.

5. Turn in several tasks during one return trip.

A slightly weaker reward nearby can beat a premium reward that requires repeated cross-map travel.

Daily Dungeons

Daily Dungeons target different bottlenecks.

DungeonReward FocusBest Use
Daeva Bio Research Base Enhancement Stones Early gear progression
Odillium Repository Pet resources After equipment enhancement stabilizes
Kabarah's Secret Depository Bound Kina Use only if present in the Global launch client

Early on, Daeva Bio Research Base is the default choice. Switch to Odillium Repository once Enhancement Stones stop controlling access to the next dungeon tier.

Entry limits may apply across the server rather than separately to every character. Confirm the lockout before consuming runs on an alt.

Instant-Clear Tickets

Use instant clear for solved content, not new content. A ticket saves time but removes mechanical practice and may not contribute to competitive rankings.

If you still die to the boss without overgearing it, run the encounter manually.

Sanctuary: Treat Revivals as a Raid Resource

Abyssal Forge Ludra is the expected launch Sanctuary raid. Global raid groups contain 10 players, organized as two five-player parties.

The raid begins with the full group, separates the parties for intermediate encounters, and reunites them for the final boss. Build both subgroups to function independently; putting every strong support player in one party creates an avoidable failure point.

Prepare Both Parties

Before entering:

  • Assign healing and defensive coverage to each subgroup.
  • Name interrupt and mechanic responsibilities.
  • Carry the required recovery consumables.
  • Confirm loot rules before the first pull.
  • Balance experienced and inexperienced players.
  • Avoid stacking every high-output player in the same subgroup.

Korean-client rules limit personal revivals during each boss encounter. Confirm the Global limit inside Sanctuary, then treat every revival as shared raid capacity even when the counter is technically personal.

Survival Beats Inflated Item Level

Sanctuary is expected to supply important bracelet progression. Heroic equipment is not part of the documented Global launch reward structure, making Unique raid drops the initial target.

Do not equip a weakly optimized item solely because it raises the displayed score. If the swap destroys defensive breakpoints, resource stability, or skill synergy, the extra entry score may produce a weaker raid character.

One death erases several damage windows.

Nightmare: Practice Before Using Skip Tickets

Nightmare is solo boss content built around class execution. It exposes weak dodging, poor resource control, mistimed burst windows, and unsafe animation locks without wasting a party's time.

Most bosses use multiple difficulty levels. First clears provide stronger rewards, while repeat clears focus on farmable currency.

Use Each Attempt to Fix One Problem

Do not change your rotation, equipment, consumables, and skill setup simultaneously. You will not know which adjustment worked.

Test one variable per attempt:

  • Dodge timing
  • Burst placement
  • Resource recovery
  • Defensive cooldown order
  • Movement during animation locks
  • Damage uptime between mechanics

Spend early Nightmare currency on skill points and PvE passive progression before cosmetic rewards. Once you can repeat the fight cleanly and no longer need ranking credit, use an instant-clear ticket if available.

The edge case is a heavily gear-gated boss. If you execute every pattern correctly but hit the time limit with no major downtime, stop burning entries and improve your equipment first.

Ascension Trials: Never Gamble the Final Entry

Ascension Trials combine timed clearing, side objectives, and a final boss. Higher difficulty improves scoring and rewards but raises the cost of a failed attempt.

The run may consume an entry as soon as you enter. Verify the Global rule on the activity screen before testing an unfamiliar tier.

Pick a Clearable Difficulty

Use the first run to establish a safe baseline:

1. Enter below your estimated maximum.

2. Record deaths and remaining time.

3. Move up only after a controlled clear.

4. Return to the safe tier if the next level threatens failure.

5. Protect the final weekly entry.

Side objectives are not mandatory simply because they appear on the route. Take one when its buff or boss debuff saves more time than the detour costs.

For example, a defensive buff has little value when normal enemies cannot threaten you. A boss-damage bonus may still justify the detour if the final encounter consumes most of the timer.

Secure the Stigma Shards. Chase rankings later.

Field Bosses: Farm Permanent Value, Not Just Gear

Field-boss equipment can become obsolete quickly. Paintings, titles, achievements, and Pantheon bonuses retain value much longer.

Prioritize bosses that complete permanent collections.

Contribution and Loot Rules

Damage contribution can influence reward eligibility or drop chances, making parties and Forces preferable to solo participation. Arrive early, group before the pull, and maintain safe uptime.

Set loot rules in chat before combat:

  • Who owns direct drops?
  • Will valuable items be sold?
  • How will the Kina be divided?
  • Does every member have market access?
  • What happens if someone leaves before the sale?

Random players do not become trustworthy because they share a party frame. Use established groups for high-value acquisition runs.

Use the In-Game Timer

The Korean client displays field-boss locations and spawn information on the map. Use the Global map if this feature carries over rather than maintaining a separate timer.

Do not camp one boss for hours unless its collection reward matters. Complete nearby missions, Pet Soul targets, gathering routes, or Strongholds while waiting.

Sealed Dungeons and Strongholds: Permanent Power per Character

Sealed Dungeons and Strongholds reward Devanion progression and materials tied to accessory development. Their objectives include combat encounters, bosses, exploration, and puzzles.

Clear them during campaign travel. Backtracking after reaching endgame turns a short detour into a separate farming session.

Plan Enemy-Territory Runs

Some objectives sit in opposing-faction territory and require a space-time rift. Bundle several goals into the same trip:

  • Sealed Dungeons
  • Strongholds
  • Pet Soul targets
  • Exploration objectives
  • Named monsters
  • Gathering nodes

Avoid settlements and guard patrols. Enemy guards may force PvP exposure even when you entered with no intention of fighting players.

These completions may be character-specific. Repeat them only on alts you intend to gear seriously.

Pet Insight and Open-World Farming

Pet Souls come from associated monster types and increase Pet Insight. Global's lower opening Insight cap reduces the grind compared with later Korean progression.

Farm specific monsters instead of killing whatever happens to be nearby.

Stop at the Economic Cap

The Korean client applies a daily cap to Kina earned from ordinary monsters. Global may use different numbers, but the activity interface should reveal when rewards decline or stop.

Once capped, continue only when you still need:

  • Pet Souls
  • A named-monster objective
  • A collection item
  • Mission progress
  • Enemy-territory completion

Pure monster grinding is not a replacement for rewarded dungeons.

Check Hourly Vendors

The Black Cloud Merchant Shop may sell Pet Souls and cosmetic items on a rotating inventory. Check it during natural breaks rather than interrupting a dungeon group every hour.

Server-wide pet achievements also make alts useful. This differs from character-specific Stronghold progression, so confirm whether a goal is character-bound or server-wide before repeating it.

Shugo Festival: Bank Keys While Leveling

Shugo Festival offers rotating minigames and token rewards. Those tokens may buy skill points, Devanion resources, pets, wings, skins, equipment, and Pantheon decorations.

Save keys until max level unless an early achievement gives immediate progression. Reward usefulness generally increases once temporary leveling gear stops dominating your character.

Play Every Mode Before Farming One

Each minigame has separate achievements. Run every available mode enough times to collect easy rewards, then focus on the activity with the most reliable top reward bracket.

Do not chase first place when second pays the same reward. Secure the threshold and avoid unnecessary risk.

Membership-based key regeneration and reward bonuses varied in the Korean service. Buy membership according to benefits listed in the Global client, not assumptions based on another region.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

What should we run first in AION 2 Global PvE?

Run expiring weekly content first, followed by Conquest Expeditions and Transcendence. Use Daily Dungeon entries on the resource currently blocking progress, then complete flexible open-world objectives.

Should we clear every boss in an Expedition?

Clear every boss while its loot table still contains upgrades. Switch to a shorter route when intermediate bosses offer no useful gear, collection items, or materials.

Which Daily Dungeon should we prioritize?

Prioritize Daeva Bio Research Base when Enhancement Stones limit your item level. Move to Odillium Repository after equipment enhancement stabilizes and pet progression becomes the stronger upgrade.

When should we increase Transcendence difficulty?

Increase the difficulty after repeated clears with spare time and few deaths. If the group fails the timer or needs long recovery stops, return to the lower tier until gear and execution improve.

Should we save Shugo Festival keys until max level?

Save Festival keys until max level unless an early achievement grants an immediate upgrade. Spend them after leveling rewards stop being replaced every few hours, and target the minigame with the safest maximum-reward threshold.
