Forza Horizon 6 Series 3: Italian Exotics Cars, Aftermarket Takeover & Economy Fixes Explained

Forza Horizon 6 Series 3 drops July 16. Here's what's actually worth your time — no fluff, just the numbers and the strategy.

Forza Horizon 6 Series 3: Italian Exotics Cars, Aftermarket Takeover & Economy Fixes Explained

Italian Passion Car Pack (Before Series 3)

Four cars, bundle-only, no individual purchase option.

Car Year
Ferrari F80 2025
Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm 2021
Alfa Romeo SE048 SP 1990
Ferrari 275 GTB/4 Spider 1967

Premium Edition/Upgrade owners: auto-added to garage. Everyone else: buy the DLC on Xbox/Steam.

Monthly Reward Cars

Points Car Note
80 Lamborghini Temerario (2024) New to Forza. 7house Designs already supports it IRL — watch for extra visual parts
120 Ferrari 296 GTB (2022) Rerun from Series 1 Hide and Seek

Priority tip: grab the Temerario first. It's the highest-voted car on Forza's feedback portal for a reason.

Weekly Reward Cars

Week 20pt Car 40pt Car
1 – Summer De Tomaso Pantera GT5 ('84) Maserati MC12 ('04)
2 – Spring Abarth 124 Spider ('17) Huracán Evo ('20)
3 – Winter Lancia 037 Stradale ('82) Ferrari Roma ('20)
4 – Spring Huracán Evo Spider ('22) Pagani Huayra R ('22)

Real talk: most of these are Series 1 reruns. If you already grabbed the MC12, Huracán Evo, Roma, or Huayra R, skip ahead. Only the Pantera GT5 and Huracán Evo Spider are genuinely new. Don't expect custom aero on either — Motorsport's version was stock Forza bumpers.

The Lancia 037 is the one exception — Horizon 5 gave it real Lancia rally parts. Good odds that carries over.

Aftermarket Takeover — Grab These Now

Six wheelspin-exclusive cars are directly purchasable at the Horizon Stadium aftermarket slots:

  • Ferrari 288 GTO
  • Ferrari 599XX Evolution
  • Ferrari F8 Tributo
  • Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4
  • Lamborghini Sesto Elemento
  • Lamborghini Diablo GTR

Rotation frequency is unconfirmed. No guarantee this stays available past the season. If you want one, buy it in the first week — don't gamble on it sticking around.

Bigger picture: this could be a test run for turning aftermarket slots into permanent playlist purchases (Skyline R33 GT-R, Honda CRX-type cars). Playground has hinted at it, never confirmed it. Watch this space, but don't bank on it yet.

Car Pass Vehicles (Weekly, Auto-Unlocked)

Week Car
1 Aston Martin DB7 GT ('03)
2 Nissan Patrol ('72)
3 Toyota Prius Prime XSE ('24)
4 Honda Z GT ('72)

Car Pass owners get these free, no grind. Also new: 52 Event Lab props + expanded color options on existing ones.

The Economy Patch — What Actually Changed

Patch notes said the auction cap was removed. That's misleading. Here's the real breakdown:

Change Before After
Overall auction cap 20MStill 20M
Rare-car specific caps (e.g. 240SX ~3M) Lower, arbitrary Removed — now capped at 20M like everything else
Subaru 22B price Cheap~4x higher
Skill points per Event Lab run Unlimited farmingCapped at 1

The Two Hidden Nerfs

22B wheelspin farming is dead. The car got 4x more expensive, killing the buy-cheap-car-for-wheelspin loop.

Skill point farming maps are dead. One point per Event Lab session now. The 20-points-per-minute farm maps are useless.

Net effect: income generation slowed hard across the board. This isn't one change — it's two stacking together.

Should You Care?

If you're a grinder: yes, this hurts. Your fastest money loop is gone.

If you want long-term progression that actually means something: this is a win. Hundreds of hours in with only 6M credits (vs. 60M+ by this point in FH5) means purchases finally feel like decisions, not formalities.

Auction house upside: listings are staying up longer instead of insta-sniping. More bid wars settling under 20M now. Downside: listing increments jump straight from 11M to 20M — no fine-tuned undercutting, so price floors can't form naturally yet.

FAQ

Can I buy the Italian Passion Car Pack cars individually?

No. Bundle-only. No à la carte option this time.

Did the auction cap really go up to 90 million?

No. Common misread of the patch notes. Still 20M overall. Only the lower, car-specific caps (like the 240SX's old 3M limit) got removed.

Why is my income so much slower after the patch?

Two stacked nerfs: the 22B got 4x pricier, and Event Lab skill points are capped at 1 per session, killing farming maps entirely.

Is the Aftermarket Takeover permanent?

Unconfirmed. Treat it as limited-time. Buy what you want in week one.

Which reward cars should I prioritize this season?

Temerario (new, high community demand) and Pantera GT5 (new). Skip reruns if you already own them from Series 1.

Bottom Line

Series 3 front-loads value with the car pack and Temerario, tests the water on direct-purchase aftermarket cars, and quietly slows the entire economy through two unlisted nerfs. Grab the aftermarket exclusives early, prioritize genuinely new reward cars, and don't expect fast credit farming to come back — this economy is built to slow down, not speed up.
