We will be looking at the economy of Grow a Garden from a different angle focusing on the five most valuable DLC code pets. This means these pets are more than just a normal cosmetic upgrade since they are only purchasable through Fatmojo plushies, making them extremely limited. These pets have a real monetary value placed on them which makes the in-game token economy fascinating and even a little reckless

In the event you are looking to complete the full collection of these DLC Grow a Garden pets, or you are just curious to know how much they are worth, you have to do the calculations; however in this case we have done all the market, the abilities, and mathematically how many tokens you would be willing to lose to acquire this pet.

↖ 1. Giant Scorpion: The AFK King
Estimated Value: ~150,000 tokens
The Giant Scorpion is at the top for a reason. Its biggest asset is the Venom Pet Mutation, currently considered one of the strongest offensive capabilities in the game.

↖ How it works
Venom has a passive 30% bonus. However, it does come with a cost. It drains 0.02% of the mutation bar every second. This means that in practical terms, one mutation level will last 5000 seconds which is roughly 1 hour and 23 minutes.
↖ The Strategy
While the drain may seem steep, experienced players know how to get around it. Pairing the Giant Scorpion with a Dilophosaurus will get rid of the consumption rate entirely. This is a huge positive, as compared to Hyper Hunger mutations that require you to constantly feed your pet to keep that 30% bonus, the Venom/Dilophosaurus combo creates a true AFK grind. The Nightmare Mutation (via Scorpion) is more efficient for players that leave their game running overnight.
↖ Is It Worth It?
As it stands, getting a Giant Scorpion means spending around 150,000 tokens, which is about how much it costs to get 3 Rainbow Dilophosaurus. Their power is amazing, but we have to talk about opportunity cost. Focusing on price, spending 150k tokens for a Rainbow Elephant gives a better long-term return on investment. That said, if you're going for the best AFK setup, the Scorpion is untouchable.
↖ 2. Wind Wyvern: The Cooldown Shredder
Estimated Value: ~100,000 Tokens
If your goal is speed, the Wind Wyvern is the best pet for cooldown reduction.

↖ How It Works
This pet has the ability to convert Windstruck mutations nearby to Gale mutations. With a successful conversion, all other pets get 60 seconds of cooldown reduction. This is to a maximum of 10 minutes per pet
↖ The Strategy
You need a setup to get the most out of this. Pair it with a fully maxed French Fry Ferret. With this combo, the Wyvern's ability is triggered after only 2 multis. Also, the Mimic Octopus can use the Wind Wyvern's ability. So, in effect, cooldowns can be reduced by 10 minutes every 15 seconds. This level of throughput means the Giant Peacock is outclassed.
↖ Is It Worth It?
The Wind Wyvern gets valued by the market at about two Rainbow Dilophosaurus (100k tokens). It may take some time setting up and getting the engine going, but it has probably saved more time than anything else making it a top tier investment for active players.
↖ 3. Blue Whale: The Weather Controller
Estimated Value: ~ 150,000 Tokens (Projected)
While Blue Whale has not yet completed the process of saturating the trading market, Blue Whale\'s stats indicate it will stay in the top tier of the trading system. It will probably stand in value at the same level as the Giant Scorpion.

↖ How It Works
The Blue Whale brings about a new kind of weather, \Whale Waters.\ As for this particular weather phenomenon, it is the strongest so far. During this time, fruits receive a \Drenched\ mutation. Most significantly, if you remove the barnacles from the whale, you receive the coveted Whalebound mutation.
↖ The Tactics
Whalebound is a powerful new effect. It doubles the amount of experience a pet gains and also speeds up the cooldown timer by 1.5 times. Just to put it in perspective, if the cooldown was initially 20 minutes, it will now be just 8 minutes.
↖ Is It Worth It?
From the perspective of overall usefulness, this is a mainstay. The level of experience and the reduction in time left it as a tool that is multi-purpose. It will be more appreciated when the units get to be more common.
↖ 4. Albino Peacock: The Hybrid Gamble
Estimated Value: >50,000 tokens
The Albino Peacock is a unique example. It is recorded on the official index and calculators, but it is not regularly found in active trading.

↖ How it works
It operates the same as a standard peacock, but adds an experience gain mechanic on top of cooldown reduction. The value here solely relies on the math: Does the XP gain equal half the cooldown time, or half the XP required to level up?
↖ The Strategy
If it's just half the cooldown time converted to XP, the power level is not impressive. Even as a 15-second peacock, reducing 120 seconds of cooldown, gaining only 60 XP is nothing for a high-level pet.
↖ Is It Worth It?
Regardless of the uncertainty, rarity drives value. This will probably not go under 50,000 tokens once it is introduced in the market since it is DLC exclusive.
↖ 5. Lioness: The Collector's Item.
Estimated Value: ~10,000 tokens
Lastly we have the Lioness. If you are looking for power, you might want to skip this one.

↖ How It Works
In a few cases, her skills are even less impressive than a regular Lion. No one has been able to solve the Lioness Secret Potential puzzle.
↖Is It Worth It?
If the data from the calculator equals the Lioness's in-game performance, the Lioness will soon just be a fancy skin to show off. If we analyze the scarcity of the cosmetic, we find that it means the price won't be destined to drop. If we analyze the scarcity, it should average around 10,000 tokens. It will be a price that is relatively easy to acquire, but won't be very impactful.

↖ A Note on the Other DLC Pets
You may see codes for pets like the Angora Goat, Flame Bee, or Windup Rat. There are actually 13 DLC pets, some of which are just simple reskins, while the others have abilities that have been power-crept by newer, standard pets. Of those 13, the five above are the only ones that have any major impact to the game overall. If you are getting plushies just for profit, you should buy the heavy hitters.
↖ FAQ
Q: Are the pets you get permanent?
Yes, but if you trade the pet after you redeem the plushie code, then you won't have the pet anymore.
Q: Is it possible to get these pets without buying the plushies?
Originally, you have to redeem the code from the plushie to get the pet, but you can also get them from other people from the game's trade system for some tokens. That's why knowing the pet's value for tokens is important.
Q: Why is the Giant Scorpion priced higher than the Lioness?
Value in Grow a Garden is determined by what is the most effective tactic available (Meta). The reason the Scorpion is more valuable is because it allows for AFK farming, which is a time saver. The Lioness is valued simply because it is a rare pet since it doesn't offer any additional functionality.
↖ Final Thoughts on Investing
While analyzing the high-end pricing in Grow a Garden, two categories must always be separated rare from useful. The Giant Scorpion and Wind Wyvern have price points which are justified due to the fact they fundamentally shift game play to create enormous efficiency The Lioness is, on the other hand, a luxury item.
