Grow a Garden Easter Part 2 Pets Guide: Best Beaver, Stork, and Orchid Mantis Setups

Grow a Garden Easter Part 2 Pets Guide: Best Beaver, Stork, and Orchid Mantis Setups

The Easter Part 2 update added three pets that are useful in very different ways, so the real question is not which one is best? but what do we want to farm. After testing these GAG pets in real setups, the pattern is pretty clear: Beaver is the best for woody cosmetics, Stork is strong in long AFK support loops, and Orchid Mantis is the one with the highest farming ceiling. If we build around what each pet is designed to do, they feel much stronger than they first look.

Quick Pet Overview

Here is the short version before we get into methods.

PetHow to Get ItBest Use
Beaver Easter Shop Wooden cosmetics
Stork Evil Bunny rewards AFK support / pet XP
Orchid Mantis Evil Bunny rewards Mutation and rainbow fruit farming

If you only care about value, Orchid Mantis is the standout. If you care about building and decoration, Beaver is easily the most interesting one.

Beaver: Best Cosmetic Farming Setup

Beaver is a rare pet that converts a woody fruit into a random wooden building cosmetic every 8 minutes. It ignores favorited fruit, so the setup matters a lot.

From testing, the cleanest way to use Beaver is to keep the garden simple.

Best Beaver setup

  • Plant around 10 coconuts
  • Keep them grouped together
  • Use 5–6 Beavers
  • Add 1 Peacock
  • Add 1–2 Dilos if you have them
  • Place support items like Pancakes and Horseshoe Magnet in the center

Why coconuts? Because Beaver targets woody fruit, and coconuts keep the pool consistent. That makes the pet more reliable.

Beaver SetupWhy It Works
Coconuts Best woody fruit target
5–6 Beavers Better cosmetic generation pace
Peacock + Dilo Good passive support
Compact layout More consistent targeting

Important note

Right now, 15-second Mimic Octopus seems bugged with Beaver. In testing, it can freeze instead of copying correctly. If you notice that, remove it from the setup and keep the build simple.

Stork: Best AFK Support Method

Stork is a legendary pet from Evil Bunny rewards. Every 10 minutes, it grabs a random fruit and sends it to another player's pet for XP or a small passive boost.

At first glance, that sounds niche. In practice, it is much better in overnight AFK setups, especially if you use an alt account.

Best Stork setup

  • 1 Stork
  • 7 Mimic Octopus (15-second)
  • Run it in long AFK sessions
  • Best used with an alt nearby

This is not the kind of pet that feels amazing in a short 20-minute session. But over a long idle cycle, the passive support adds up much better.

Stork SetupBest For
1 Stork + 7 Mimics Long AFK support loops
Alt account nearby Better consistency
Overnight sessions Best value

If you mostly play actively and check your garden often, Stork is solid but not game-changing. If you AFK a lot, it becomes much more useful.

Orchid Mantis: Best Rainbow Fruit Method

Orchid Mantis is the divine pet from Evil Bunny rewards, and it is easily the strongest of the three for farming.

Every 13 minutes, it prays for 10 seconds. During that time, fruits within 15 studs have a 3% chance each second to gain Floral. Floral fruit can turn gold, and gold fruit with Floral can convert into rainbow.

That upgrade path is why this pet matters.

Best Orchid Mantis setup

  • 1 Orchid Mantis
  • 7 Mimic Octopus (15-second)
  • Dense crop layout
  • Best with tomato methods
  • Ideal for long AFK sessions

Tomato-style farms work especially well because they put a lot of fruit into a small area. That gives Orchid Mantis more chances to trigger value during its prayer window.

Orchid Mantis SetupWhy It Works
Dense fruit layout More fruits in range
Tomato methods Best target density
1 Mantis + 7 Mimics Strong AFK synergy
Overnight farming Highest value over time

From experience, this is the pet most players should prioritize if they care about event grinding, battle pass points, or mutation farming.

Which Pet Is Best?

That depends on what we are trying to do.

GoalBest Pet
Farm wooden cosmetics Beaver
Support pets while AFK Stork
Get strong mutation value Orchid Mantis

If we are ranking them by overall usefulness for farming:

1. Orchid Mantis

2. Stork

3. Beaver

Still, Beaver is easily the most fun if you enjoy building and cozy garden designs.

Common Mistakes

A few setup mistakes can make these pets feel weaker than they really are.

MistakeFix
Using Beaver in a mixed fruit garden Focus on coconuts or other woody fruit
Running Beaver with Mimic Octopus Avoid it for now due to bug risk
Using Stork in short sessions Save it for long AFK play
Spreading Orchid Mantis crops too wide Keep fruits tightly packed

FAQ

How do I get Beaver in Grow a Garden?

Beaver comes from the Easter Shop.

How do I get Stork?

Stork is available through Evil Bunny rewards.

How do I get Orchid Mantis?

Orchid Mantis also comes from Evil Bunny rewards.

Which Easter Part 2 pet is best overall?

For farming value, Orchid Mantis is the best overall because it has the strongest mutation potential.

What is the best crop for Beaver?

Coconuts are the best choice because they are woody and make targeting more reliable.

Is Beaver bugged with Mimic Octopus?

The combo appears unreliable right now. In testing, Mimic Octopus can freeze when paired with Beaver.

Is Stork worth using?

Yes, but mainly for AFK players. It is much better in long passive sessions than in short active farming.

Final Thoughts

These three Easter Part 2 pets are all useful, but they reward different playstyles. Beaver is the clear pick for cosmetic farming, Stork works best in long AFK support loops, and Orchid Mantis is the strongest choice if we want better mutation and rainbow fruit value. Once we match the pet to the right setup, the update starts to make a lot more sense.
