Grow a Garden Kitchen Storm Event: Update, Rewards, Pets and Seed

Every week brings fresh updates to the Grow a Garden event, and this time is no exception. This week's Kitchen Storm Event introduces exciting new features, recipes, and mechanics to enhance your gardening and cooking adventures. From mutated meals to faster cooking during Kitchen Storms, there's plenty to explore. Let's explore what this event is all about!

Connoisseur Food Reviews

The connoisseur food reviews system introduces a brand-new way to earn rewards.

Kitchen Storm Event Overview

How to Participate?

  1. Cook meals using mutated crops.
  2. Track the mutation chance using the gauge in your cooking pot.
  3. Submit mutated meals to the food connoisseur for rewards.

Mutation Example

To increase your chances of creating a mutated meal:

  • Add one wet banana (20% mutation chance).
  • Include two elephant ears (52% mutation chance).
  • Toss in two mutated sugar apples (91% mutation chance).

Once your meal is ready, you have a choice: submit it to the food connoisseur or Chris Peas.

Rewards Overview

Reward System:

Connoisseur rewards are completely random but can include:

  • Culinary Chest
  • Gourmet Seed Pack
  • Kitchen Crate
  • Exclusive Pets (e.g., Gorilla Chef)
  • Cosmetic Items

While the addition of cosmetic items has slightly diluted the reward pool, there's still plenty of valuable loot to be earned.

Kitchen Storm Meter

The Kitchen Storm Meter is a game-changing feature that speeds up your cooking process during the event.

How to Activate?

Submit meals to Chris Peas to fill the meter. Once the meter reaches 40 points, the Kitchen Storm begins.

Benefits:

  • Reduced cooking times for all recipes.
  • Faster turnaround for high-reward meals.

For example, a meal that typically takes 20 minutes to cook will be ready much faster during the storm, allowing you to maximize your efficiency and rewards.

Recipe Book

The recipe book is a handy new addition that tracks recipes you’ve created. However, there's a catch—you'll only see recipes in the book after you've crafted them yourself.

Smoothie

  • Unlock Recipes: Craft meals like smoothies or porridge to add them to your recipe book.
  • Smoothie Basics: Combine any fruit—nectarine, grape, coconut, apple, pear, starfruit—with sugar to make a smoothie. Mutation, rarity, and size determine whether it’s prismatic.
  • Porridge Ingredients: Use creams as bases and mix them with fruits for unique porridge recipes.

Example:

Meal Type Ingredients Notes
Smoothie Any fruit + sugar Rarity affects prismatic outcome
Porridge Cream base + fruit Experiment with combinations

Note: Mixing bone blossom with other ingredients often results in prismatic or divine meals!

Odds Overview

Kitchen Storm Meter

The Kitchen Storm Meter tracks your progress during the event. As you create meals and complete tasks, the meter fills up. Keep an eye on it to unlock exclusive rewards and maximize your event experience.

Culinary Chest

The culinary chest has undergone significant changes this week.

  • Obtaining Chests: You can get culinary chests from the Connoisseur or purchase exotic ones with Robux in the limited-time shop.
  • Pity System: Exotic chests now include a pity system. For example: Rhubarb guaranteed in 4 chests | Rare items guaranteed in 100 chests.
  • Limitations: The pity system doesn't apply to free culinary chests—it's exclusive to exotic ones purchased in the shop.

Pity System

Item Guaranteed Drop Chest Type
Rhubarb 4 chests Exotic Culinary Chest
Rare Item 100 chests Exotic Culinary Chest

Note: If you're using Robux for exotic chests, check the drop guarantees before purchasing!

Pet Loadouts

A brand-new feature has been added to the pet menu—loadouts! This update allows players to save and switch between three different pet setups quickly.

  • Loadout Slots: Save up to three configurations for different gameplay needs.
  • Quick Swapping: Switch between loadouts with a single click.
  • UI Updates: The pet menu received slight adjustments for improved usability.

Benefits:

Streamline your gameplay by swapping pets for specific tasks or events. Experiment with different combinations to find the most efficient setup.

New Seeds and Crops

The event brings several new seeds and crops, each with unique growth times and profitability.

Available Crops:

Crops Growth Time Price Notes
Bitter Melon Long ~120k Rare, highest profitability
Butternut Squash Long  /  Still growing, likely profitable
Spring Onion Short ~58k Common, one-time use
Prickle Fruit Not obtained yet

Other crops like rhubarb, badlands pepper, and king cabbage are currently unavailable on the test server but may appear when the update goes live.

Note:

  • Focus on Bitter Melon: Its high price makes it worth the long growth time.
  • Experiment with Mutations: Use aromatic pet shards to apply mutations for better rewards.
  • Activate Kitchen Storm: Boost cooking speed, mutation carryover, and aromatic fruit chances during the storm.

New Recipes

Four new recipes have been added to the pool alongside existing ones.

Recipe List:

Pet Passives

Pets play a crucial role in enhancing your garden's efficiency during the event.
