↖ Which Squares are noteworthy in Monopoly GO?
Community Chest Square:
These squares allow players to open the community chest, potentially awarding money and enabling participation in a mini-game if enough friends are invited.
Property Square:
Property Square is the most common on the board. When a player lands on a Property Tile occupied by a Rent Target, they receive Rent based on the number of Houses on that square. Players can build and upgrade Landmarks to earn Houses, which are placed on Property Square. Additionally, players can charge rent to others under certain conditions.
Railroad Square:
When landing on a railroad square, players are prompted to play one of 2 mini-games: Bank Heist or Shutdown. Bank Heist allows players to steal money from opponents, while Shutdown lets them knock down another player's building. There are a total of four railroad squares on the board.
4 Special Corner Square:
The four corners of the Board each contain a special Tile. The Go Tile is the starting point where players earn money when they land on or pass by it. Special corner squares have unique effects:
- Go: The starting point of the game where players earn money upon landing on or passing by this square.
- Jail Visitors: A free space on the board.
- Free Parking: Another free space that can be activated by special events.
- Go To Jail: Landing on this square provides three chances to roll the dice and get doubles. Success earns bonus dice rolls, while failure results in paying bail before leaving.
Tax Square:
Tax squares require players to pay a tax when landed on. There are two tax squares: Luxury Tax and Income Tax.
Chance Square:
Landing on a chance square prompts players to draw a card, which can result in winning or losing money based on luck.
Utilities Square:
Utilities squares are safe spaces that reward players with a money bonus when landed on. There are two utilities squares on the board: Electric Company and Water Works.
↖ Tip 10 Best Strategies & Hacks (2024)
To help you become a Monopoly Go master, we have compiled 10 best strategies and hacks for 2024. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned player, these tips will give you the edge you need to dominate the game.
Tip 1: Alt Account
Creating an alternate account can be a strategic move to gain leverage in events that require teamwork. By playing on your alt account and collaborating with yourself, you can ensure that you meet event objectives without relying on unreliable teammates.
Tip 2: Don't Max Landmarks
It's wise not to max out your landmarks until a landmark Rush Event occurs. By keeping your landmarks at stage 4 out of 5 and saving up money, you can take full advantage of the event when it arrives. During the event period, aim to maximize as many landmarks as possible on multiple maps to reap the highest rewards.
Tip 3: Exchange Stickers For Rewards
When exchanging stickers for rewards, prioritize star boxes as they provide valuable dice and packs. However, exercise caution when sacrificing stars for these boxes. Consider trading your 4 and 5-star cards on the official Facebook page instead of converting them to stars. Be selective when exchanging cards for boxes and save useful stars for future trades.
Tip 4: Trade on Facebook
Utilize the Monopoly GO Facebook page to exchange valuable cards with other players. However, beware of potential scams and verify the trustworthiness of trading partners. Request proof of completed trades, such as screenshots, before engaging in any transactions to avoid falling victim to scammers.
Tip 5: Shutdown Minigame Strategy
During events that reward points for landing on and completing the shutdown minigame on the railroad, strategically choose your opponents. If the assigned opponent has all their landmarks in position, consider switching to a random opponent to maximize your rewards. When facing a random opponent with no landmarks shut down by others, assess their activity level and target inactive players for a higher chance of success.
Tip 6: 8 Hour Box
Don't forget to claim your login rewards from the 8-hour box in the offer shop. This box replenishes every 8 hours and offers free dice packs and money. Keep track of the time to maximize your free rewards.
Tip 7: Tournaments
Always check the tournament info to understand how to earn points for winning. Familiarize yourself with the specific actions that contribute to earning points, such as landing on utility tiles or textiles, completing railroad mini-games, and more. Thoroughly read the tournament info to avoid any surprises in your end results.
Tip 8: Net Worth
Optimize Net Worth rewards by leveling up. For example, reaching a net worth of 1000 or level 1000 can earn you 1K free dice. If you're close to reaching a milestone level and need the rewards for a current tournament, consider using some Monopoly money to reach the milestone and start rolling for better tournament standings.
Tip 9: Community Chests
Community chests may not offer significant rewards, but by actively interacting with other players, you can increase your chances of getting valuable packs. Engage with friends and other players, target opponents, make transactions, and increase your in-game interactions to open multiple Community chests and increase your chances of obtaining epic purple packs.
Tip 10: Goals
It's okay if you don't complete all your albums or achieve every goal in the game. Golden Stickers can only be traded when the Golden Blitz Event is on, so success often depends on luck or spending money in the game. Remember that Monopoly Go is meant to be enjoyable, so focus on having fun regardless of the outcomes.
Lastly, we expect this manual will give you an understanding of the dynamic of Utility Tiles in Monopoly GO and make the game more interesting. These spaces allow players to make as much money as possible, pile up on Cash and construct their empire strategically towards becoming the Monopoly GO champion.
