MW4 Beta Meta Weapons Class Setups: Attachments, Perks, and Tuning included

We have put serious hours into the MW4 beta. Most weapons are average. A few are genuinely broken. After the latest update nerfed Frangible ammo and the ISO Nightshade, we retested everything. These five builds still win gunfights they probably should not.

MW4 Beta Meta: 5 Class Setups: Attachments, Perks, and Tuning included

If you are chasing nukes or just tired of losing trades, run these.

Perk Setup: What Actually Works

Fast TTK means slow health regen gets you killed. We run the same three perks on every class because they fix that problem.

Perk Why It Works
Quick Fix Kills and objective captures instantly trigger health regen. Prevents trade deaths
Fast Hands Faster reload, equipment use, and weapon swap. Keeps gameplay fluid
Blood Rush Longer tac sprint, faster crouch, kills replenish stamina. Maintains momentum

Equipment: Flashes are blinding right now. Snapshots give free wallhacks. Portable radar shows for your entire team. All viable. Pick based on playstyle.

1. Hurricane M4 — Best Overall

The grind is real. You need M4 level 68 to unlock the Apex attachment that converts it into the Hurricane. The payoff is worth it.

Why it matters: The Apex attachment counts as a bonus attachment. You get six attachments while everyone else has five. That is a massive advantage.

Attachment Purpose
Hurricane Apex SMG-AR conversion; unlocks Hurricane-specific attachments
Dim ADS Laser Faster ADS, no visible laser
Flash Hider Free recoil control, zero cons
Hurricane Grip Rare strafe speed buff
Hurricane Stock Better sprint-to-fire, ADS, and strafe
Frangible Ammo Still slows enemies post-nerf

The range surprises people. The strafe speed makes you hard to hit. If you only unlock one weapon fully, make it this one.

2. ISO Nightshade — Aggressive SMG That Survived the Nerf

The Nightshade caught a range nerf and headshot multiplier reduction. It did not matter. The mobility was untouched, and mobility is why you run this gun.

Play it aggressive. Slide into faces. Win before they react.

Attachment Purpose
Bright ADS Laser Sprint-to-fire and ADS boost
Flash Hider Consistent control
Movement Barrel Better mobility
TAC Grip Faster ADS
Tactical Stock Additional ADS improvement

Swap to Dim ADS Laser if the visible laser gets you pre-aimed. Same ADS benefit, no visibility trade-off.

3. Han 86 — Easiest Gun to Use

Some MW4 weapons fight you with visual recoil and muzzle flash. The Han 86 does not. It is a laser beam.

Bonus: Leveling the M4 unlocks a ton of Han 86 attachments automatically. You can have this thing kitted early without extra grinding.

Attachment Purpose
VLK Trimmer Optic Clean sight picture
Dim ADS Laser Faster ADS, no laser visibility
Flash Hider Free control
Angled Short Grip Aiming stability
Frangible Ammo Limits enemy movement

Not the fastest TTK in the game. It is the most consistent. You hit shots other guns miss because the recoil is so forgiving.

4. PPSH — Close-Range Melt Machine

The PPSH feels out of place in Modern Warfare. It also absolutely shreds within 15 meters.

Problem: Default iron sights are rough.

Fix: The integrated suppressor barrel changes them completely. Cleaner sight picture plus suppression plus better range.

Attachment Purpose
Integrated Suppressor Barrel Suppression, range, control, cleaner irons
Dim ADS Laser Offsets barrel mobility penalty
53 Round Mag Enough ammo for the fire rate; sprint-to-fire bonus
Light Stock Faster movement speed
Frangible Ammo Slows enemies for easier tracking

This build wins by being faster than expected. Round corner, ADS quickly, fire rate does the rest. Do not challenge long sightlines.

5. M4 — Most Versatile Weapon

Shocking no one, the M4 is top tier. It does everything well and has no real weakness.

Attachment Purpose
Primmer Optic Preference; clean sight picture
Bright or Dim ADS Laser Bright for sprint-to-fire; dim for stealth
Flash Hider Free control
Short Angled Grip Better stability
Frangible Ammo Strong all-around choice

Long barrels improve range but slow you down noticeably. The movement barrel is a good middle ground if you want aggression without full Hurricane speed.

If you are unsure what to run, run the M4. It rewards good aim without demanding perfection.

FAQ

H3: What is the best weapon in the MW4 beta right now?

The Hurricane M4 is the strongest if you have M4 level 68 unlocked. The standard M4 is the best overall for most players because it is versatile and forgiving.

H3: Is Frangible ammo still worth using after the nerf?

Yes. The slow duration dropped 26% and magnitude dropped 21%, but Frangible still limits enemy movement in critical gunfights. Not overpowered anymore. Still strong.

H3: Which perks should I run in MW4?

Quick Fix, Fast Hands, and Blood Rush. This combination solves health regen delay, slow weapon handling, and stamina drain. Run it on every class.

H3: How do I unlock the Hurricane M4?

Reach level 68 with the M4 to unlock the Apex attachment. It is a grind, but the six-attachment advantage makes it worthwhile.

H3: Is the ISO Nightshade dead after the nerf?

No. Range and headshot multiplier were reduced, but mobility was untouched. It is still one of the best aggressive SMG options in the beta.

These five builds survived retesting after the latest update. The Hurricane M4 is the ultimate prize if you grind for it. The Han 86 is the easiest to pick up and perform with immediately. The PPSH and Nightshade reward fast play. The standard M4 does everything.

Start with the M4 or Han 86 if you need consistency. Build the Nightshade or PPSH if you push pace. Unlock the Hurricane if you want the best weapon in the beta. Nothing else kills quite like it.
