Palia Elderwood Map Guide: Exploring Secrets and Strategies in the New Area

The Elderwood map in Palia has certainly piqued the interest of players. As the console release date approaches, there seems to be a lot of questions and excitement regarding this new addition. Here, we discuss everything there is to know about the Elderwood map and its intricacies for new and seasoned players alike.

Newer Players' Accessibility

Perhaps one of the biggest worries circulating is whether new players will be able to view the Elderwood map on launch.

Fortunately, good news has come through that no matter what stage they are at in the main story, all players will be able to view the Elderwood.

Naturally, some elements of gameplay won't be available until certain quests are completed.

This means that new players can ride the wave of enjoyment while exploring the Elderwood alongside the more seasoned players.

Landmark and Unlocking It

The Elderwood's marker coordinates can be found in Bahari, where big doors are located that were showcased in the trailer, so it would be safe to say these doors are the marker for the map's entrance.

Players will be given access to this new area from May 13th, as part of the perk EOF will be available for convenient use after setting up in the Handy Settlement.

These regions will be aimed conveniently close to where players port across the Bahari from player plots and the travel board, which ensures smooth movement throughout.

Lore and Background

The Elderwood is described as a magical, overgrown land infused with an unknown essence. It is owned by a faction known as the Umbren, who are more accepting of magic.

The Elderwood's landscape bears scars from a war that occurred roughly 30 years before the current gameplay timeline, resulting in the landscape being abandoned by the Umbren.

Players will learn more about this faction and their captivating history through quests.

Elderwood's map might be separated from Kilima and Bahari but still maintains an expansive map. Other notable characteristics include many tunnels and passageways. Other notable locations include Warriors Way, Stable Fen Bog, Twilight Canopy, Furkclaw Passage and Furkclaw Caverns. These locations boast a complex, multi-level exploration for players.

Artifacts and Relics

Another significant update to the game is the addition of artifacts and relics. Throughout the Elderwood, players are able to find artifact shards.

Once enough pieces are gathered, players can assemble them into relics which grant buffs to both the player and their party.

These relics are constructed at the special stations found in the central stables while artifacts themselves can be freely traded among players.
