ARC Raiders Cantina Legend Guide: Reach Top and Secure Rewards

Cantina Legend is not about winning your visible Hot Shot board. It is about finishing the week inside the global Top 1,000.

ARC Raiders Cantina Legend Guide: Reach Top and Secure Rewards

That single rule explains almost every confusing part of the system: the Unchanged rank message, failed promotions from rank one Hot Shot, sudden demotions, and why the final week gets brutal.

ARC Raiders Cantina Legend Requirements

To reach Cantina Legend, you must be in Hot Shot and finish the weekly Trials reset inside the Top 1,000 global scores.

This leaderboard includes:

  • All regions
  • PC and console
  • Current Cantina Legend players
  • Hot Shot players trying to promote

Your small leaderboard is not the real cutoff. It is only your visible group.

Current RankCan Reach Cantina Legend?Rule
Daredevil 2 No Must promote to Hot Shot first
Daredevil 3 No Cannot skip Hot Shot
Hot Shot Yes Must finish Top 1,000 globally
Cantina Legend Yes Must defend Top 1,000 globally

If you are rank one in Hot Shot but outside the global Top 1,000, you stay Hot Shot. Harsh, but that is the system.

Why Hot Shot Shows Unchanged

Hot Shot shows Unchanged because the game cannot calculate the Cantina cutoff until the weekly trial ends.

Lower ranks use clearer placement rules. Hot Shot does not. Once you hit Hot Shot, the game waits for the final global scores, then checks who belongs in the Top 1,000.

Weekly ResultCurrent RankOutcome
Top 1,000 global Hot Shot Promotes to Cantina Legend
Outside Top 1,000 Hot Shot Stays Hot Shot
Top 1,000 global Cantina Legend Stays Cantina Legend
Outside Top 1,000 Cantina Legend Drops to Hot Shot

This is why the rank screen feels useless near reset. It does not know the final cutoff yet.

Best Score Strategy for Cantina Legend

There is no fixed Cantina Legend score. The cutoff changes every week.

The mistake most players make: they compare themselves to the lowest visible Cantina player. That is risky. Hot Shot players outside Cantina can still replace them at reset.

A safer rule: aim near the visible Top 400–500 Cantina score, not the bottom.

Score TargetRiskWhat It Means
Barely above lowest Cantina High Very unsafe
Around rank 700–900 Medium-high May survive, not reliable
Around rank 400–500 Safer Good normal-week target
Around rank 300 or higher Strong Better for final-week pushes

Example: if the rank 400–500 range sits around 70K+, then 70K+ is a much better target than barely beating someone at 60K.

The bottom of Cantina is not the cutoff. It is bait.

Weekly Reset and Cantina Legend Rotation

Cantina Legend is not locked once you get it.

Every weekly reset, the game reshuffles players based on that week's global Top 1,000. In normal weeks, expect roughly 300–400 players to rotate in and out. In the final week, it can be much more.

Week TypeCompetitionLikely Rotation
Early season Moderate300–400
Mid season High300–500
Final week Very high600–800 possible

Why the spike? Rewards.

Players who ignored Trials all season often come back for the final push. Trio stacks climb harder. Low Cantina spots get farmed out fast.

If you are sitting near the bottom of Cantina before reset, assume you are not safe.

How to Secure Cantina Legend Rewards

End-of-season rewards depend on where you finish, not the highest rank you touched.

You can hold Cantina Legend for weeks, drop during the final reset, and still only get Hot Shot rewards.

Final Week SituationReward Result
Cantina earlier, ends Hot ShotHot Shot rewards
Hot Shot, promotes final weekCantina Legend rewards
Daredevil entering final week Cannot reach Cantina that week
Cantina and stays Top 1,000Cantina Legend rewards

The key prep is simple:

  • Reach Hot Shot before the final week
  • Push for a score above the likely cutoff
  • Do not rely on your visible board rank
  • Treat final week as the hardest week of the season

If you enter the final week as Daredevil, you are too late for Cantina rewards. You cannot skip directly into Cantina Legend.

Fast Climbing Checklist

Use this as the practical game plan.

GoalAction
Reach Cantina Legend Be Hot Shot first
Avoid fake safety Ignore bottom Cantina scores
Estimate cutoff Check Top 400–500 Cantina range
Protect rewards Finish final week Top 1,000 globally
Avoid demotion Keep improving score before reset

If you are rank one Hot Shot and still unsure, ask one thing:

Would this score beat enough players globally, or only my visible board?

That answer decides everything.

FAQ

Why did I stay Hot Shot after getting rank one?

Because rank one on your visible board does not guarantee Top 1,000 globally. Cantina Legend uses a global leaderboard, not your small Hot Shot group.

Can I skip from Daredevil to Cantina Legend?

No. You must reach Hot Shot first. Even a massive score from Daredevil can only move you into Hot Shot.

Is Cantina Legend cross-platform?

Yes. PC and console players share the same Cantina Legend leaderboard, and all regions are included.

What score do I need for Cantina Legend?

There is no fixed score. As a practical target, aim around the visible Top 400–500 Cantina score. In tougher weeks, especially the final week, aim higher.

Do I get Cantina Legend rewards if I reached it earlier in the season?

Only if you finish the final reward week in Cantina Legend. Touching the rank earlier does not lock the rewards.

Summary

Cantina Legend in ARC Raiders is decided by one thing: weekly global Top 1,000 score.

Hot Shot is only the entry gate. Your visible board rank is not enough. To promote or stay Cantina, your score must beat players across all regions and platforms when the weekly reset happens.

For the best chance, reach Hot Shot before the final week, aim near the Top 400–500 Cantina score, and push harder during the reward week. Bottom Cantina scores are dangerous to trust. Final rank is what pays.
