Nightfarers are the playable heroes in Nightreign. Each hero has their own unique traits and an ultimate skill, which charges over time. Although these characters are fixed and non-customizable in visage, they can be enhanced and modified through Nightreign Runes which are earned after completing runs.
As of today, Nightfarers 1 and 2 have been released as part of the original lore, along with the first five trailers.
It includes:
Character 1 and Character 2 that were shown during the introductory cutscenes of both trailers.
A new fifth character introduced in the latest trailer.
A sixth character named Raider, a barbarian capable of doing high damage strikes and building pillars to assist his allies in attaining high places.
