ARC Raiders Scrappy Guide: Best Fruits, and What Apricots & Agave Actually Drop

ARC Raiders Scrappy Guide: Best Fruits, and What Apricots & Agave Actually Drop

The new Scrappy food system in ARC Raiders is better than it looks at first. Once we spent time testing it properly, a clear pattern started to show: fruit type seems to influence the kind of rewards you get, but your raid loot value does not seem to improve those rewards in any consistent way. That matters, because it changes how we should use Scrappy. Instead of gambling on huge extraction runs, we get more value by feeding the right fruit and chaining clean 6-minute raids.

How Scrappy Works

The system is simple once you stop overthinking it.

We can feed Scrappy up to 6 fruits at a time:

  • 6 of the same fruit
  • or a mixed queue

Then we complete raids, and each raid needs to last at least 6 minutes to count. After that, Scrappy gives us rewards based on the queue.

From our testing, the safest working assumption is:

MechanicWhat We Found
Food queue 6 slots
Minimum raid time 6 minutes
Same fruit stacking Yes
Mixed fruit queue Yes
Reward pattern Random, but fruit seems to matter
Raid loot value No clear effect

This is why Scrappy feels good right now. It adds passive value to raids we were already running.

Best Fruits We Tested

We focused first on Apricots and Agave, because these are the two fruits that players keep talking about for high-end rewards.

Apricots

Apricots gave us the best overall results so far.

In repeated runs, we saw drops like:

  • Mechanical Components
  • Wires
  • Steel Springs
  • Light / Medium / Heavy Gun Parts
  • Simple Gun Parts
  • Complex Gun Parts

There are also player reports of Queen Reactor drops from Apricots. We did not personally hit that jackpot in this test, so I would treat it as possible, but rare.

Agave

Agave felt different. The loot pool looked more focused on attachments and mod-related parts.

We saw rewards like:

  • Mod Components
  • Mechanical Components
  • Extended Light Mag
  • Extended Shotgun Mag
  • Compensator
  • Angled Grip
  • Vertical Grip

There are also reports that Agave can give a Kinetic Converter, which fits with the attachment/mod angle.

FruitWhat It Seems Best ForBest Notable Reward Seen/Reported
Apricots Gun parts, crafting value Complex Gun Parts / reported Queen Reactor
Agave Attachments, mod loot Multiple useful attachments / reported Kinetic Converter

If you want the simplest answer: Apricots look better for broad value, Agave looks better for attachment-focused loot.

Does Better Raid Loot Improve Scrappy Rewards?

We tested this because it is the question that changes how you should play.

We ran normal raids, safe farming raids, and at least one high-value extraction over 100k loot. The result was pretty clear: Scrappy still gave random low-to-mid rewards even after big runs.

So at the moment, there is no strong evidence that:

  • extracting more valuable loot,
  • killing bigger targets,
  • or bringing out rare cores

improves Scrappy's reward quality.

QuestionCurrent Answer
Does expensive loot improve rewards? No clear evidence
Does fruit type matter? Yes, seems so
Is RNG still a big factor? Definitely

This is actually good news. It means we do not need to force risky runs just to boost Scrappy.

Best Way to Use Scrappy Right Now

After testing it, the most efficient loop is pretty straightforward:

1. Feed 6 of the same fruit

2. Run 6 raids over 6 minutes

3. Extract safely

4. Claim rewards in batches

5. Repeat with the same fruit if you want clean results

Why do it this way? Because if you mix fruits too early, it becomes hard to tell what is actually giving what. If you want real value and cleaner testing, stack one fruit at a time.

Current Best Use Cases

GoalBest Choice
General crafting value Apricots
Gun part farming Apricots
Attachment farming Agave
Jackpot hunting Apricots or Agave
Safe passive income Any fruit + 6-minute raids

For most players, I would start with Apricots. They gave the most consistently useful returns in testing.

Known Issue: Sixth Raid Sometimes Bugs

One thing we ran into more than once: the sixth Scrappy reward did not always show up properly.

If that happens:

  • make sure the raid lasted over 6 minutes
  • claim current rewards first
  • run one more match if needed

This looks more like a tracking issue than a true system failure, but it is worth knowing so you do not think your queue is broken.

FAQ

How many fruits can we feed Scrappy?

Up to 6 fruits at once.

How long does a raid need to be?

At least 6 minutes if you want it to count.

What is the best fruit right now?

From our testing, Apricots are the best all-around option so far.

Is Agave worth using?

Yes, especially if you want attachments and mod-related loot.

Can Scrappy give rare items like Queen Reactor or Kinetic Converter?

It looks possible based on player reports, but these drops seem very rare Items.

Does raid loot value affect Scrappy rewards?

At the moment, it does not seem to.

Final Thoughts

Scrappy is a lot more useful than a lot of players first assumed. The system still has a big RNG element, but it is not random in a completely blind way. From what we have tested, fruit choice matters, and that gives us a real way to optimize it. Right now, Apricots are the safest pick for value, while Agave is worth farming if you want more attachments. If you keep your runs clean, stay past 6 minutes, and treat Scrappy like passive progression instead of a miracle machine, the update starts looking very strong.
