Black Ops 7 Fallout Crossover Event & Beat Deathclaw Endgame Boss Guides

Season 1 Reloaded has officially dropped, and it's arguably the most content-rich mid-season update we've seen for Black Ops 7. The Fallout crossover isn't just a cosmetic bundle; it fundamentally changes how we play Endgame, Zombies, and even Warzone.

However, the clock is ticking. This event—including the LTMs and the exclusive loot—is scheduled to end around January 29th. Whether you are trying to unlock the Titan Hunter Dark Ops card or hunt down the Irradiated Deathclaw in Zombies, you need a clear strategy.

Endgame: Mastering the Deathclaw World Event

The centerpiece of this update is the Deathclaw World Event in Endgame. Unlike the Z-Rex or Colossus events which have been vaulted, this event introduces lethal environmental hazards that can wipe a squad instantly.

1. Triggering the Event & Surviving the Nuke

This is a timed event, but it has a lethal catch that catches new players off guard.

The Timeline: Approximately 10 to 15 minutes into the match, you will see an "Atomic Impact" notification.

The Drop Zone: A nuke will target a Tier 3 zone, marked by a massive purple circle on your map.

The Survival Rule:Get out of the circle immediately. If you are inside when the timer hits zero, the nuke drop will instantly kill you. Wait for the mushroom cloud to settle before entering.

2. The Radiation Mechanics

Once the nuke lands, the area becomes a Radiation Zone. You cannot regenerate health naturally here.

The Problem: The radiation ticks away your health while Deathclaws rush you.

The Solution (Rad-X): Do not rely on Stim Shots alone. Kill the standard ghouls and zombies in the area; they drop Rad-X (look for the pill bottle icons).

Strategy: Picking up Rad-X gives you a 1-minute immunity timer. Keep an eye on your bottom-left HUD. If your Rad-X timer is low, prioritize killing a ghoul to refresh it before engaging a Deathclaw.

3. Combat: Bullets vs. Explosives

I spent some time testing different loadouts against the Deathclaws, and the results were surprising.

Avoid Launchers: They are too slow and surprisingly weak against the Deathclaws.

Use Ballistics: High-capacity LMGs or Assault Rifles are the meta here. You need consistent DPS to melt their health bars while backpedaling.

Enemy Type Threat Level Behavior Recommended Tactic
Deathclaw High Tanky health, high melee damage, fast movement. Focus fire. Do not let them close the gap.
Ghouls/Zombies Medium Swarm tactics, but they drop Rad-X. Farm them for immunity items. Don't ignore them.
Radiation Constant Passive damage over time. Keep your Rad-X timer active at all times.

The Rewards: Power Armor & Phantom Skills

Completing the Endgame event drops a Brotherhood-themed Care Package. Here is the honest truth about what's inside.

The Power Armor: Honest Review

We all wanted this to be overpowered, but in reality, it's a mixed bag.

FeaturePerformanceVerdict
Mobility Thruster JetpackExcellent. Great for verticality and escaping swarms.
Weaponry Laser MinigunMediocre. It overheats very quickly and lacks burst damage.
Durability Limited HealthFragile. Explosives shred it, and you can't heal inside it.

My Take: Use it for the fun factor and traversal, but don't rely on it to carry you through high-level boss fights. It's a glass cannon that breaks easily.

The Phantom Skill Track

The crate also drops upgrades for the new Phantom Skills. However, there is a critical restriction you need to know:

If your operator is Combat Rating 60 or higher, you cannot earn Phantom Skills.

You must start a fresh character to progress this track. Use this event to level up a new "Fallout-themed" operator rather than wasting the XP on your main.

Zombies: The Astra Malorum Easter Egg

If you are a Zombies player, the content is even more hidden. On the map Astra Malorum, you can trigger a secret boss fight against an Irradiated Deathclaw.

Step 1: The Hunt for Fallout Boys

To spawn the boss, you need to find and collect 10 hidden Fallout Boy bobbleheads scattered around the map.

Visuals: Look for the bright yellow and blue colors contrasting against the dark map.

Locations: They are hidden on shelves, in spawn room corners, and atop crates.

Tip: Leave a "crawler" zombie alive at the end of a round to search safely. Trying to do this mid-round is a death sentence.

Step 2: The Boss Fight

Upon collecting the 10th bobblehead, the Irradiated Deathclaw will spawn after a few seconds.

The Threat: This variant is faster and more aggressive than the Endgame version.

The Reward: Defeating it drops a pile of high-tier loot (Perks, Salvage, Weapons) and completes the Season 1 Reloaded Playlist Challenge.

Bonus: Fallout in Other Modes

Warzone (Power Armor Royale): In Verdansk, you collect Fusion Cores to call in the armor. Be careful—in Warzone, the armor is incredibly weak to enemy RPGs. You are a big target.

Multiplayer (Ghouls Infected): A 20+ player infected mode. If you are a Ghoul, you can call in an AI Deathclaw to hunt survivors. It's chaotic and arguably the most fun LTM right now.

 FAQ

Q: Can I unlock the Titan Hunter Dark Ops card right now?

A: Only if you have already completed the previous Z-Rex and Colossus events. The card requires 3 unique World Event completions. Since the other two are vaulted, new players are currently stuck at 1/3 until they rotate back in.

Q: Is the Power Armor permanent?

A: No. It is a Scorestreak. You lose it when it is destroyed or runs out of fuel. However, buying the Event Pass allows you to use the Power Armor operator skin permanently (cosmetic only).

Q: Why isn't the Deathclaw spawning in Zombies?

A: Ensure you are on Astra Malorum. The locations for the bobbleheads are different on "Ashes of the Damned." Also, double-check you collected all 10; missing one prevents the spawn.

Final Thoughts

Season 1 Reloaded has successfully injected a fresh, chaotic energy into Black Ops 7. While the Power Armor might be a bit underpowered combat-wise, the sheer spectacle of the Deathclaw event makes it worth playing.
