↖ About T17 Maps

Tier 17 maps are obtained by converting Tier 16 maps. To maximize Tier 17 map drops it's important to focus on getting Tier 16 ones more frequently than any other level because they have highest chances for conversion into this new category. Also remember that you cannot drop another T17 from within itself which means you should do your farming using T16 maps.

• T17 is a result of a dropped T16 getting converted into T17
• Maximizing T16 map drops is the goal
• T17 can't drop in T17

Is Singular Focus Good?

If your aim is maximum number of T17 then singular focus may not help since it leads to less average Drops Per Hour (DPH). However, if players want higher drop rates per hour or day etcetera then yes go ahead with that method but personally I would avoid using SF in my map farming setups altogether if possible. 

Core Strategy Elements

• Map Notes: Shaping the Skies / Shaping the Mountains / Shaping the World - These three notes will give you a better chance at dropping higher level maps like t15 or even t14 along side t16 while shaping them up through atlas progression system 
• Watchstones: Use all four watch stones at once so as to increase numbers of dropped items from these levels which are then converted into t-16 ones; thus making farming even easier on lower tiers before finally reaching end game content where things tend scale exponentially. 
• Cartography Scarab: It is essential that every setup includes this item because its presence guarantees more maps' quantity on corruption modding 
• Twist of Fate: Twist of fate is a unique Atlas node which can be used to add one or three random map modifiers for increased drops 

↖ Is Twist of Fate Good?

It is a good option to include twist of fate in all your corrupted rare farming strategies. The use of this together with cartography scarab escalation will help improve both the quantity and rarity of map Drops. While running without it is possible but including it may give you much higher number (s)of T17 obtained. 

• The resulting map will be any map of the same tier based on your current atlas
• Your map will be a random
• Additional map mods increase quant, packsize and rarity
• You can run strategies without it, will be less effective

↖ Strategy Setups

What about Cartography Scarab of Corruption?

Cartography Scarab of Corruption is not crucial for map farming strategies focused on tier 17 or Elder/Shaper Guardian maps. While it can help sustain corrupted maps for Twist of Fate passive runs, it is not a recommended addition to the primary setups.

• Doesn't add much value since we target T17 + Shaper/Elder/Elderslayer Maps
• Can replace 1 Multitude / Risk and get some 8 mods for twist of fate map sustain if you need it

↖ How to Prep Map?

• You will have to use a randomizer on your map pool if you are running the Twist of Fate. This means that map selection becomes less important because it completely randomizes your maps. However, we recommend running corrupted eight-mod maps for the best results.
• For players who aren't using Twist of Fate, any suitable tier 16 map can work. Three Sto Weight loves corrupted maps, while other maps like Jungle Valley or Mesa can be used.
• Clearing the whole map before you get to the boss is necessary for Maven to spawn all bosses with her unique ability: Destructive Play.
• Don't forget to corrupt your maps when you're running Three Sto Weight and choose anarchy for best results! However, for Twist Of Fate any map and any option can work such as Domination or Ambush.

↖ Which setup is Best?

We recommend setting Scarabs of Multitudes in order to get most amount of maps but feel free to try other setups!

↖ Eater vs Exarch vs Maven

When thinking about what influence Eater and Maven have on maps they are very strong options. Eater gives additional quantity and rarity where maven spawns multiple bosses at the end which increases chances of dropping maps so its very good for farming strategy around maven influence. Also there are other setups with maven that could help us get some valuable items for selling them too!

• Expensive/Hybrid strat will be more efficient
• If will net you more maps and will be less risky than medium strat
• As always pick something that works with your build

↖ What to Pick in the Atlas?

• You need mobs drops maximized at atlas. Take all adjusted mob drop check nodes possible in order to increase number of received mobs
• Shape in Mountains + Shaping Skies + Shaping World - good together / prioritize these ones
• Whenever possible take all explicit modifiers for maps that enhance their drops
• Consider Scarab bonuses like Amplified Artifacts, Remarkable Relics and CH Champions to capitalize on increased boss spawns from Maven
• Additional Storm Boxes and quantity bonuses are good but can be adjusted based on your preferences

↖ Twist of Fate

• We recommend Three St weight in the atlas if your build can handle it otherwise reallocate points to suit your build
• The strategy involving Domination Scar of Terror is still viable but may be expensive. It offers additional mobs from bosses and cartography scar of escalation.
• Consider incorporating Domination Scar of Pandemonium for increased boss encounters however this may come at higher cost.
• For this strategy we need to adjust our Atlas by prioritizing strong boxes and guaranteed shrines.

↖ Conquerors Tip

Corrupt Conqueror Maps when farming them. Running conqueror maps alongside Twist of Fate will yield bonuses from Maven and an abundance of conqueror maps.

↖ T17 Drop Frequency

Frequent inquiries among players are what frequency can they drop T17 maps. On average, 1/3 or 1/4 of maps dropping as tier seventeen when scarab of multitude strategy is used. Though this could be affected by luck alone and map mods too. It's just that guardian maps drop rate may counterbalance the occurrence of other valuable items like t17.
