Some people might deem settings as unnecessary but in fact adjustments can be beneficial to your control and your aim in the game. ↖ Best Audio Settings
Set it all up just as recommended and you'll surely improve your performance in BO6 by increasing your reaction time and perception.
Setting | Recommendation | Reasoning |
---|---|---|
Audio Mix | Sucker Punch | This applies the narrowest dynamic range which helps to bring out the clarity of gunshots and footsteps. |
Mono Audio | Off | There's really nothing good with monophonic audio in playing. |
Master Volume | 100 | It is commonly understood that 100 volume percent would cause some audio interference which is false. this would simply make all in game audio crystal clear rather than too muted. |
Gameplay Volume | 40-50 (or lower) | Lowering this can help isolate important sounds such as footsteps, gunfire etc. |
Dialogue Volume | 100 | The only purpose of this is to ensure that all the conversations within the game are audible while also receiving muffled sounds from certain other major aspects. |
Effects Volume | 100 | This is extremely necessary as it allows you to hear footsteps, shots, bombs exploding which in turn will help you in tactics. |
Cinematic Music Volume | Lower or Mute | This is not important in-game, in fact decreasing this can help reduce some distractions. |
Hit Marker Preset | Classic | Provides more straightforward understanding of how many hits were registered. |
↖ Sensitivity Settings
It s quite critical for you to find a sweet spot between speed and precision while determining your sensitivity.
- Minimum Sensitivity: 7
- Maximum Sensitivity: 12-13
- Recommended Setting:
- Vertical Sensitivity: 11
- Horizontal Sensitivity: 10
Note: React better and will have better grip with a slight increase in the vertical parameter than horizontal.
Setting your sensitivity at anything lower than 7 reduces the abilities of the player to respond effectively while something above 13 diminishes accuracy. Preferably, keep your vertical sensitivity to a notch higher than the horizontal to get better control.
↖ Aiming Advanced Settings
There are a wide range of tasks and responsibilities that people work with concerning law enforcement and the military. Knowing how to set your aiming settings may become the determining factor of your effectiveness, for example, setting the ADS ( Aiming Down Sights) for better precision while targeting.
ADS Sensitivity Varying Factor | 0.95 | Focuses the aim assist for precise targeting. |
Custom Sensitivity per Zoom | Turned on | Lower than setting itself for targeting at various distances. |
The settings of ADS v2 has NPA favors for all because it makes target approach and target lock on effortless. No doubt you can achieve more with lower settings but why trouble yourself with contact when hollow settings are as effective.
↖ Aim Response Curve Type
Aim Response Curve Type Aim response curve type comprehension and selection are important factors in making sure the performance is stable.
Options:
- Standard
- Linear
- Dynamic
Recommended Type: Dynamic
The slope scale should be set at around 80. Best overall dynamic response for most players.
Note: Using a Linear curve type is not recommended due to the fact that even with optimal settings the response is not satisfactory. Dynamic is the better option. If in doubt leave it on the Standard setting and the maximum scale.
↖ Corner Slice Settings
There's no need to set this option based on my testing because it actually helps to provide attention. In fact, this does not help to conceal yourself, rather it gives away your location to the enemies. If this feature is irrelevant for play, then you are better off turning it off to avoid any disadvantage in the matchmaking.
↖ Brightness Settings
Another setting that comes handy with gameplay is the brightness. A good number of players tend to put this on full blast, but especially with the Modern Warfare engine, that’s an awful idea. So, here’s how to set the brightness correctly.
- Brightness Level Decreased to: 58-60
- The Note Visibility Check was Instead: Speak Not Visible have passed the test of being actually not visible.
- Over Saturation Disallowance Has: Controlled blasting visuals generally make enemies appear indistinguishable.
↖ Interface Settings
The interface settings, although often ignored, bear an utmost importance when it comes to the visibility and the effectiveness of the game style. Altering these settings helps increase the perspective of the region of war as well as improving the focus on the targets.
The Recommended Settings To Be Used Are As Under:
HUD Customization | Depending on what is most comfortable to you, reconfigure the relevant HUD elements for discrimination of more information. |
Mini Map Shape | Set to Square so that there is a wider view range enabling enemy close to the borders to be viewed. |
Crosshair Settings |
|
↖ Graphics Settings
To improve your overall visibility and the ability to acquire targets faster, try changing the following graphics settings.
World Motion Blur: OFF | Brings the surrounding area into clearer view and prevents it from becoming blurry. |
Weapon Motion Blur: OFF | Provides a clear vision of one's weapon. |
There's a significant amount that can be done with these settings, they help in removing that blurriness for instance, which will aid with seeing opponents better in quicker situations. Additionally, set your camera jump to 50% so there’s less shaking when focusing on the target you intend to hit.
↖ Best Controller Settings
The following are some modifications that could enhance your overall performance:
- Controller Vibration: It is best to disable this since it may make aiming more difficult. While this may feel awkward at first, it allows you to aim more steadily.
- Button Layout Adjustments: It is easier to control when L1 is replaced with R1 meaning it may make sensitivity easier. Since aiming down the sight rarely requires the use of your thumb stick, it should be set to R3 along with the jump/mantle and the stand functions.
Consider using the following configurations:
- Tactical: A great fit for gamers that tend to shy away from the joystick thumbstick by going crouching or prone.
- Stick and Move: Recommended for those with an aggressive style as this allows to jump without sacrificing aiming position. Great for maintaining control during quick jump situations as well.
These layouts allow for better aiming without necessarily using the aim assist feature. There is also a lot of gameplay fluidity with 'stick and move flipped' so it is highly endorsed as well.
In order to gain even more of an advantage in combat, which is very important in cod, these layouts will surely enhance your reaction time and aim accuracy.
