CoD Black Ops 6 Season 1 update is now live, introducing a ton of changes and new additions. This update covers a variety of areas, including content additions and changes, weapon adjustments, Warzones, and more. This guide gives you a quick and concise overview of all the updates coming this season. From new multiplayer maps to a revamped Battle Pass system, we cover everything you need to know.

↖ Multiplayer Additions
New Multiplayer Maps:
- Extraction
- Hideout
- Heirloom
These maps are available in the quickplay selection within the regular core map set. Additionally, they are featured in the Season 1 Mosh Pit, offering exclusive access to these three maps across various modes such as Domination, Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed, and Team Deathmatch.
Heirloom is also available in Faceoff modes like Faceoff Kill Confirmed and Faceoff Team Deathmatch.
New Game Modes:
- Ransack: Available on all maps.
- Radioactive: A 24/7 playlist featuring Nuke Town and Warhead.
Battle Pass System:
The updated battle pass system introduces a page-based progression:
- Unlock tiers to progress through pages.
- Spend tokens to access additional pages.
- Notable weapons in the battle pass:
- SOG: Available on page 3.
- CRI C: Available on page 6.
Additional Features:
- Black Cell Battle Pass Bonus: Includes a unique Black Cell clan tag featuring a crown.
- XP Tokens Transfer: XP tokens from Modern Warfare 2 and other games are now cumulative and transferable to Black Ops 6.
- New Skins Option: Allows for quick swapping between weapon builds by applying blueprints underneath selected camos.
Prestige Master Hub:
The Prestige Master Hub is a new addition where players can view:
- Prestige Master rewards.
- Level progression from 100 to 1,000.
- Classified rewards unlocked at level 1,000.
The hub provides insight into the rewards system and the extensive grind required to achieve level 1,000, equivalent to approximately 50 million XP.
↖ Multiplayer Changes
Map Adjustments:
Low Town Protocol, Red Card, and Vault | Adjustments have been made to these maps. |
Core Map Pool | Nuketown, Extraction, and Hideout are now included. |
Faceoff Map Pool | Heirloom has been added. |
Spawn Logic | Updated across several maps and modes to reduce enemy proximity upon spawning. |
Subsonic Starting Spawns | Altered to prevent immediate damage from opponents. |
Game Chat Fixes: An issue preventing players from hearing each other during intermissions and postgame voice chat has been resolved
↖ Multiplayer Weapon Tuning
Assault Rifles:
- Damage Values: Increased for some rifles to ensure one-bullet kills in hardcore mode.
- Headshot Multipliers: Adjusted to maintain or improve bullet-to-kill ratios.
- XM4: Slight buff with reduced headshot multipliers for base and CHF Barrel.
- AS 85: Similar adjustments as XM4 with base level and CHF Barrel headshot reduction.
- GPR91: Buffed attributes for Sprint-to-Fire and Dive-to-Fire with headshot multiplier reduction.
- Goblin Mark I: Movement speeds improved by 0.01 m/s with enhancements to Sprint-to-Fire times.
Submachine Guns (SMGs):
Compact 92: Minimum damage range decreased; headshot multiplier improved for one-shot kills in hardcore.
Shotguns:
- Marine SP: Adjusted damage across all ranges; minimum damage range increased for a buff.
- ASG 99: Similar damage range buffs with extended range from 1.4 m to 15.2 m.
Marksman Rifles:
- SWAT 556: Handling improvements in ADS Sprint-to-Fire; increased recoil penalty on rapid fire.
- AK: Handling properties slightly nerfed; increased Sprint-to-Fire time and recoil penalty.
Sniper Rifles:
- Baseline Flinch: Lowered, with reduced flinch resistance by stock attachments.
- Aim Walking Movement Speed: Bonuses increased on stocks.
- ADS Idle Sway Delay: Improved by default across all snipers.

↖ Warzone Additions
Content Area 99 | A lot of changes have been noted on the warzone in relation to FOV settings after it has been added. |
Stand Adjustments | Settings that had been in place before season 3 began with no other add-ons of things such as bunkers being placed. |
UI Rework | The old design of the war zone menu has been modified. |
Armory Beta State | An early access phase before the armory mid season update release. |
Warzone Camos |

Warzone Perk System Update | New and old perks have came back in addition to having wild cards. |
Weapon Class Sorting Option | The use of the D pad has enabled smooth transitions in between games as it eliminates the need to scroll through everything. |
Camo Transfer Limitations | For different games that focus on Modern Warfare and Black Ops 6, camo is only specifically allowed for one version of the game, there will be no crossover between two different games camo features. |
↖ Warzone Changes
Gameplay Adjustments:
- Body Shield: First time implementation of forwarded melee weapons.
- Doors: Doors can now be shot dead open.
- Primary Weapon: A lone primary weapon is now accessible and no more wildcards are given.
- Self-Revives: Didn't you want your near by self-revives to get auto picked up, well your dreams have been fulfilled.
- Live Pinging: Has duration but now it is set for shorter range of live pings.
- Armor Plate Replacement: This time round it will be done with more speed.
- Abandoned Timer: As a result of the interrogation feature being omitted, it has been decreased from five to four seconds.
Movement Enhancements:
- Omni Movement: Tactical sprint is available stunt free but requires a perk or a melee weapon.
- Mantle Protection: There is more advanced protection when you mantle.
- Tactical Sprint Duration: There is a 6 second longer base duration to this tactical sword.
- Landing Tuning: The shell shock effect upon landing has been reduced
- Vertical and Horizontal Zip Lines: New outlets for zip lines and ascenders have been created.
- Redeploy Drones: Now statical and taken out when the gas overtakes them.
Inventory and Perks:
- Inventory Type: There has been some improvement on how inventory will be managed.
- Perks: Looting perks are back.
- Specialists: Can be spotted in low tier loot chests/boxes or care packages, can be kept in buy stations for $30,000. You must keep in mind that specialists are out of sight when you die and no loot can be picked from them.
↖ Warzone Weapon Tuning
Weapon Modification:
- New Streaks and Equipment Buying: Expanding any new streaks and equipment.
- Weapon Tuning Overview:
- Buffs or Improvements are shown by the green colour.
- Nerfs or Reduction in effectiveness improvements are indicated by the red colour.
- Major to minor or minor bugs fix are identified by yellow colour insignia.
Well integrated into Modern Warfare 2 & 3:
- The weapons have been altered to better fit within the arsenal of Black Ops 6.
- Increasing the positive aspects of building the weapon but having little to no cons in the attachments.
- Damage range and bullet deviation have been adjusted for equalization.
Ground Loot Adjustments: Multiple changes in the ground loot have been included and also removed for the sake of balance in the gameplay.
↖ Warzone Additional Changes
Vehicles Mechanics:
- Loss of tire pressure and enabling vehicle repairs has been removed.
- Vehicles having fuel maintenance requirements are completely redundant.
- The vehicle's health will still be an element; furthermore, it cannot be restored or repaired once it has been used up.
Firing Range Enhancements:
- Damage summary added to assist better performance management.
- Includes a set of warzone specific armor plates, health and perks.
- Reset speed increases for time management.
- Some of the hitboxes changed to fit with Black Ops 6.
- Targets that can change their position and can be used in training.
- More realistic target collision implemented.
General Updates:
- Multiplayer along with Warzone have had some of the bugs solved.
- Director's mode was introduced to provide an additional option to the game.
- Changes to the configuration of weapons in order to allow parent combat.
