How To Complete COD: Black Ops 6 Zombies The Tomb Easter Egg?

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 adds new variations of The Zombies mode. One of them introduces a complex Easter Egg found on the map The Tomb. This Easter Egg is rewarding because it is a main mission of the game, so it provides complex challenges alongside amazing rewards. However, the way to solve the Easter Egg is not given in detail, which means players will have to solve it through trial and error. However, there is no need to worry much as this guide will help you finish the Easter Egg in no time dispite of its complexity.

How To Complete COD: Black Ops 6 Zombies The Tomb Easter Egg?

Preparation: Player Must Have Before Commencing

Be sure that you are fully ready to begin your Easter Egg run. There is a checklist which contains information that should be considered prior to commencing:

Guns / Equipment Recommended:

Weapons should have a suppressor attached, especially GS45; when killing zombies with a suppressor, they will drop more scrap which is ideal for crafting.

Have a high damage, high ammo weapon at hand. As a side note, the Raygun does not work on the final boss.

Suggested Gobblegums:

Profit Sharing is best for multiplayer matches.

On the House combined with Soda Fountain.

Secret Shopper and extra perk, Perkaholic.

Extra Credit and the game lending perk.

Other Items:

Zombies can become overwhelming, equip smoke grenades for chance to escape.

Modify your wall-buy weapons to have the correct attachments so that they are in sync with your loadout when bought.

Perks & Upgrades

Equip Stamin-Up perk for enhanced movement.

For those critical phases of the game, Niete's speed boost augmentation is also a good choice.

Step By Step Guide To Completing The Tomb Easter Egg

Step 1: Unlock The Map And Go Through The Door To Nowhere

Start by completely unlocking The Tomb map. Continue playing past the rounds until the Underground Temple. Activate the crystal located here which will allow you to open the Door to Nowhere, leading to the Aether dimension.

Step 2: Get or Craft The Ice Staff

One of the crucial pieces of this Easter Egg is the Ice Staff. You can:

Get it from the Mystery Box (this might take some luck or require the Gobblegun Perkaholic)

Or craft it from three parts:

  • Monocle
  • Headpiece
  • Staff Base

Collecting each part is described below:

a) Monocle:

Survive until Round 8 when a certain Shock Mimic boss appears.

Defeat the boss and grab the Monocle that it drops. This tool reveals hidden symbols on wall murals.

b) Activate Wall Murals:

Locate purple flames hanging on the walls as you explore the Excavation Site. Shoot the flames to lead them towards certain murals, but be careful as the flames may drip to the floor which will cause damage.

c) Find the Headpiece:

The next step is to go to the mural of the Archer within the Neolithic Catacombs.

Ignite the flame and then sequentially shoot ten glowing symbols (see the images for assistance).

After following the orb for some time, you will be rewarded with the Headpiece and a much needed Max Ammo power-up.

d) Find the Staff Base:

Your next stop is the Grave site where the Bull mural is located.

Once again, activate the nearby flame, shoot symbols in sequence and follow golden orb to gather the Staff Base after defeating some of the tougher enemies in the area.

Step 3: Assemble and Defend the Ice Staff

Use Monkey Bombs and C4 grenades to distract Zombie Killers while you assemble the Ice Staff at the stone construct of the Pack-a-Punch machine. Once your staff is built, prepare for a zombie assault to defend your territory with waves of zombies coming your way. The Pack-a-Punch machine is nearby so use it wisely to evade the zombies.

Step 4: Advance Your Ice Staff

We recommend that you upgrade the Ice Staff to help you progress further:

a) Put Out Three Flames:

On the map, find three purple flames and put them out using your Ice Staff within 10 seconds.

If the flames are combined too distant, hit them with a regular weapon to force them to spawn closer to each other.

b) Shoot Aether Stones:

Look for three Aether Stones, or glowing stones in the Aether dimension that are floating high above the Aether. Shoot them with your Ice Staff to reveal some symbols.

c) Open a Locked Portal:

Look for a portal that is locked in both dimensions and find the symbols you revealed from the Aether Stones. Use your Ice Staff to shoot and unlock it.

d) Energize the Aether Orb:

After entering the portal, activate a purple orb. As it moves across the map, kill zombies in the area to charge it. If you fail the purple orb will reset causing you to start this step again.

e) Transform and Place Your Ice Staff:

After the Ice Staff has been charged, put it on an altar in the center of the map to upgrade it.

Step 5: Finish Aether Trials

Now that your Ice Staff is upgraded, you will be tasked with four trials which involve statues located across different dimensions. Each trial involves certain tasks:

Infestation Trial (Spiders):

Use your staff to activate the healing beam on the Spider Statue.

Aquire a crystal and complete tasks in designated areas by defeating spiders.

Parasite Trial (Flies):

Activate the Fly Statue, then claim a crystal.

Capture ten purple energy orbs dropped by Parasites while trying to avoid damage.

Doubleghast Trial (Two-Headed Zombies):

Activate the statue and begin charging the crystal by defeating enemies while standing within the beam zone.

Amalgam Trial (Red Zombies):

Activate the statue and then defeat a Red Amalgam to begin charging its crystal.

Remember to bring each crystal to the designated statue upon completion.

Step 6: Destroy The Artifact

The last challenge consists of a boss fight against The Artifact, which is a multi-phase battle. Here’s the breakdown for each section.

Phase 1 - Divide The Artifact:

Defend against laser beams from The Artifact and try to manage the zombie hordes.

During its vulnerable phase, attack it and try to split it into five existing fragments.

Phase 2 - Exterminate The Selected Zombies:

Locate and kill zombies with red markers (Mimics, Doubleghasts). The blue marker zombies are not real and can be ignored.

Phase 3 – The Last Stand:

After the northeast shift, the Artifact will become exposed to one last attack.

Engage your teammates to deal as much firepower as possible using gunpowder weapons to destroy it.

The Tomb Easter Egg Completion Rewards

  • An implaced calling card
  • An exclusive skin for the Ice Staff.
  • 5000 Boost XP

For some users who completed it first (before Guided Mode became available) a unique golden skull banner was awarded. Enjoy this thrilling puzzle for Black Ops 6 Zombies. Remember to prepare properly and follow these suggestions carefully!
