Farming test with 50 Tier 4 Breachstones post the 0.2.0g patch of PoE introduced a lot more promise. This was primarily because the redesign of the loot system alongside improved drop rates opened up new opportunities for farmers. With this guide, both the expenditure in terms of currency, time invested, and the loot collected will be presented in such a manner that further helps make this decision easier.

1. Currency

The most noticeable improvement post-patch is the increase in raw currency drops. 

Compared to pre-patch farming, this is a significant improvement. Just from raw currency alone, we nearly recouped my initial investment.

2. Jewels

Jewels also saw an increase in drop rate:  

• Jewels Dropped: 7 (up from 4 in previous tests)  
• Value per Jewel (Unidentified): ~40 Exalted Orbs  
• Total Value: ~1.5 Divines  

While jewel prices have slightly dropped, the increased drop rate makes up for it.

3. Gloves

Gloves are another profitable item category:  

• Gloves Dropped: 9 (up from 6 previously)  
• Value per Glove (Unidentified): ~70 Exalted Orbs  
• Total Value: ~3.5 Divines  

The improved drop rate for gloves further boosts the profitability of these runs.

4. Rings

• Drop Rate: 56 rings in the latest test (previously 57).  
• Value: Rings sell for approximately 18-19 exalts total.  
• Profit: Selling all rings outright yields about 6 divines.  

Note: Focus on touching all Breach Hands during runs to maintain consistent ring drops.

5. Catalysts

• River Catalysts: Dropped 98 (up from 94 in the previous test).  
• Profit: River catalysts alone yield around 5 divines.  
• Other Catalysts: Sold in bulk for approximately 1 divine.  

Total Catalyst Profit: About 6 divines. Selling in bulk saves time and effort.

6. Keys

• Current Test: No keys dropped.  
• Previous Test: Dropped two keys.  
• Insight: Key drops are purely luck-based and not a reliable source of profit.

• Total Earnings: ~25.5-26 divines from all drops.  
• Entrance Costs: ~11.5 divines for Breachstone entries.  
• Net Profit: ~14 divines (compared to 7 divines in previous tests).  
• Profit Increase: A 20% boost in profitability post-patch.

↖ Why It's Worth It?  

Breachstones are dropping in price, directly benefiting the entry cost. Profits are guaranteed thanks to the consistent drops. Don't require much effort to complete with the right setup.

With the current approach, farming Zash with Breachstones is extremely profitable in early PoE 2. The latest update increased the potential profit to double which was already incredibly high for Divs per hour. If effortless consistent returns between 4-5 divs per hour is the goal, this is the method to use.
