Riven Tides Guide: Room 208 Loot, Crane Buttons & Solo Battery Trick

ARC Raider  Riven Tides isn't hard to navigate. It's flat, it's readable, you'll learn the layout in two raids. The loot is what separates good runs from great ones — and most of it is hiding in spots people walk past.

Riven Tides Guide: Room 208 Loot, Crane Buttons & Solo Battery Trick

Here's the full breakdown: key rooms, the crane puzzle, the solo battery skip, and the fastest route to Room 208.

Best Loot Zones — Priority Order

ZoneWhy You Go TherePriority
HotelRoom 208 — best key room on the map Very High
Port Authority Secure Storage + roof loot High
Cranes Key room, button puzzle, battery room High
Seaside Elevator Best extract, but hot Medium-High
Customs Elevator Backup extract Medium

Route: Cranes → Port Authority → Hotel → extract Seaside.

Crane Puzzle: Stop Wasting Time

Three crane structures. They look the same. Don't get lost.

Crane House Key Card Room

Decent side loot — drawers, desks, small containers. Only hit it if the area's quiet. Skip it if you're rushed.

The Button Puzzle

Four button zones. One button per zone. That's it. Stop re-checking a zone once you've found its button — move on.

ZoneCheck Here
Middle Crane Office room, both door sides, lower platform
Puzzle Door Crane Around the door, side platforms
Upper Platform Railings, walls, doorway
Lift/Bush Zone Near lift, bushes, underside platform

Fast route: Middle crane → office → puzzle crane → upper walkway → drop to lift/bush zone. All 4 pressed = room opens.

Loot's mid-tier. The real payoff is unlocking the battery room next.

Solo Battery Trick (No Second Player Needed)

The intended method needs two people — one rides the lift, one presses the button. Skip that.

Snap Hook method:

1. Find the battery near the crane puzzle (check pallets, containers, lower platform).

2. Drop it on the ground under the structure.

3. Climb above it.

4. Snap Hook the battery, pull it up.

5. Slot it in. Room opens.

Solo, fast, no waiting on a teammate.

Loot inside: lockers, gun case, drawers, breachable container. Worth it if you already cracked the button puzzle — not worth a dedicated trip on its own.

Port Authority: Secure Storage Is the Real Prize

Expect Shredder pressure here. Enter via main doors, side entrances, or climb the exterior pipe if the ground floor's hot.

  • Classified Records Key Card → L-shaped room. Okay loot, not amazing. In-and-out.
  • Secure Storage Key Card → inside Classified Records, on the left. This is the one worth carrying a key for. Better tech loot, better containers.

Roof: boxes, loose loot, great sightlines. Not top loot, but great for scouting and trial control.

Hotel Room 208: The Best Key Room on the Map

Multi-floor loot room. This is the reason to run this map.

Expect: medical loot, reagents, shields, syringes, augment rolls, breachable medical containers. Save it for night raids if you want max value.

Where the 208 Key Spawns

Don't just grab the obvious loot and leave a room — check inside cabinets and under furniture. That's where the key hides.

RoomCheck
102 Cabinets, hidden spots
107Under the bed
113 Cabinet safe compartment
205 Standard room loot
311 Inside cabinet (key or Volcanic Rock)

Biggest mistake: looting the surface item and walking out. The key is often tucked behind an opened cabinet door or in a small safe compartment you didn't bother checking.

Hotel Party Room Easter Egg

Not profitable. Genuinely funny. Needs repair parts:

  • Wires
  • Electrical Components
  • Power Cable
  • Battery

Find them in breachable rooms near the extract, electrical containers, and small tech rooms below the extract area. Repair it, hit the buttons upstairs, music plays for the rest of the raid. Zero loot value. Full morale value.

Best Extract: Seaside Elevator

Faster route from major loot zones, good cover, strong final positioning.

The catch: heavy ARK activity, chaotic on night raids, big enemies patrol nearby. Bring Hullcracker, Jupiter, or something with real burst damage and ammo to spare.

Customs Elevator is your fallback — use it when Seaside's too hot, or your route naturally lands there.

Hidden Room Near Customs

Skip the barred door entirely. Jump the ledge, go through the window, loot from inside. Server containers, drawers, secure breach spawn.

Extra Loot Worth Grabbing

  • Tennis court lockers (behind Hotel) — strong on night raids, low risk, quick add-on.
  • Beachcombing mode — unique to Riven Tides, metal-detector item finds buried containers.
  • Nature loot — Great Mullein, Moss, Prickly Pears near the trench/beach. Not a top farming map for this, but usable.

FAQ

What's the best key room on Riven Tides?

Hotel Room 208. Multi-floor, medical loot, reagents, shields, syringes, high-value containers.

Where does the Room 208 key spawn?

Rooms 102, 107, 113, 205, 311. Check under beds and inside cabinets, not just surface loot.

How does the crane button puzzle work?

Four zones, one button each. Find it, press it, move to the next zone. Don't camp one area.

Can you solo the battery puzzle?

Yes — Snap Hook the battery up to the platform instead of running the two-player lift method.

What's the best extract?

Seaside Elevator. Better positioning and cover, but bring heavy ARK clear — activity's intense.

Bottom Line

Run Cranes → Port Authority → Hotel, extract Seaside. Press all 4 crane buttons without backtracking. Snap Hook the battery solo. Check every cabinet in Hotel for the 208 key. Carry a Secure Storage key when you find one. That's the whole map, no wasted motion.
