The Gypceros is a Bird Wyvern which is cunning that uses bait-and-switch tactics for its survival. This unique monster can trick you by pretending to slip away or even feigning death. Furthermore, Thunder attacks have no effect on Gypceros due to its rubbery hid. Gypceros is also able to fly and smack using its tail, putting hunters in a precarious position.
Elemental Weaknesses: Fire and Ice
Status Weaknesses: Sleep, Poison, Paralysis, Blast, Stun, Exhausted.
Key Mechanics and Strategy:
Be prepared for its effects.
Antidotes are essential to Gypceros due to its attacks poisoning its prey. Gypceros also has the ability to alter the battlefield’s water by turning it into a glacier using Watermoss.
Dodge its dazzling flash attack.
When Gypceros uses its crest to shoot dazzling flashes, it leaves you open to the world.
Seek cover or plan your dodging for the right moment; You're blinded.
Disable this ability by breaking its twinkling crest.
Do not allow yourself to be outwitted.
It is a common misconception that Gypceros is dead after collapsing, but in fact it fakes its death so you should never stop attacking.
Although if its head sparkling accompanied by electricity is witnessed, instantly remove yourself from the space to prevent the surprise counter attack.
Focus Areas of Veneron:
Head: The head is, however, both its primary weak point and breakable part. This means targeting this part will significantly damage its capacity to use flash.
Tail: Similarly, its tail slam attack can be very dangerous in confined spaces.
