MH Wilds Rerolling Artain Weapon: Works, Prepare and Process

MH Wilds Artian weapons come with random reinforcement bonuses which include Attack, Affinity, Sharpness, and Elemental effects. If you're going for a specific build, you'll not only save materials but also time.

The crafting process to reroll specific bonuses is a unique feature of the game, and controlling the rolls can save a lot of resources. In this guide, we will focus on the steps needed to efficiently go through the process while optimizing resource usage for most Artian weapons in the game.

Artian Weapon: How Rerolling Works?

Rerolling is crafting several weapons in order to attempt unlocking a favorable bonus sequence. If the set of bonuses is unhelpful to the desired outcome, one would have to a reset the game to save resources.

1. The Randomization System

Attack, Affinity, Sharpness, and Element as well as their value are Randomly Assigned at either crafting or reinforcement of Artian weapon.  There is  a hidden sequence – which the game uses to award bonuses- associated with every weapon crafted which shifts forward by increments with each weapon crafted.

2. Identify the Desired Roll

Save your progress and craft weapons in rapid succession so that the next rolls can be observed. Once favorable roll or bonus is visible, exit to the title screen and select Return Without Saving.

3. Reset and Craft Strategically

Reload your save to reset the crafted weapons, Use low-value materials to craft up to the desired roll. When the best roll is due, switch to your high-value materials for crafting or reinforcing.

Example: A paralysis weapon with attack boosts would require - Valuable parts (e.g. Fire or Ice parts) would be used for less pertinent rolls.

Valuable paralysis-specific materials should be saved for rolls where they can be achieved in desired outcome.

Artian Weapon: Rerolling Preparation

Pre 1: Gather Crafting Materials

  • Defat Tempered Monsters: Required for Aranian weapon crafting, these monsters serve as a good source for farming the materials needed for crafting Aranian weapons.
  • Save Investigations: To make the material farming process seamless, devote yourself to tempered monster investigations.
  • Stockpile Materials: Try to obtain enough materials so that you can craft multiple items. Having 50+ crafts is much more handy, but even 5 or less works if you are very low on resources.

Pre 2: Collect Oracle Sight (or Equivalent Material)

Oracle Sight needs to be collected if you want to reach the maximum extent of each weapon's reinforcement level and show all five bonuses.

How to Obtain Oracle Sight?

Roal, who resides in the Smelting Foundry, is able to help you out. Oracle Sight requires you to smelt monster parts, which costs you 300 points per unit. Alongside these parts, Oracle Sight is needed. Excapsule Apex monster garnets are extremely easy to obtain, making them ideal for use in the forge.

Pre3: Set Realistic Expectations

  • Time Investment: In most cases, attaining a perfect god roll will require dozens, or in some situations, even hundreds of attempts.
  • Patience Required: That's the minimum. The median is always worse. Count on multiple crafting sessions before going into it headfirst.

Artian Weapons: Rerolling Process

Step Action
1. Save Progress Always ensure that your game is saved before you try the crafting process. This allows you to easily reset if required.
2. Craft Weapons Create multiple Aranian weapons using throwaway materials so that they can be previewed for upcoming rolls.
3. Track Rolls Keep track of how many crafts it takes to reach the level of roll you find desirable.
4. Reset Rolls If necessary, go to the title screen and select "Return without Saving" to reset your progress.
5. Reload Save Craft using waste materials up to your desired roll, then reload your saved game.
6. Final Craft Once you're at your desired roll, use valuable materials for the final craft.

Important Notes:

  1. Elemental and non-elemental weapons use completely different roll tables.
  2. Status effects are considered elemental.
  3. Roll tables are also tied to both weapon type and rarity.
  4. Not sure if roll tables ever get reset or reshuffled after a patch.

Remember to take your time and strategically gather the resources. When approached with patience, the work becomes worth it upon crafting the perfect weapon.
