Kinsects have a variety of stats and features that define their performance in a hunt and each of these feature contributes to their efficiency.

Attack Types

Kinsects have two attack types:

• Blunt: KO damage enabling the stunting of monsters. Useful for hunts that require controlling a monster.
• Severing: Cutting damage useful in dealing with monster tails and earning extra carves.

Recommendation:

Collect stuns for hounds who want to capitalize on KO with the Insect Glaive which lacks any inherent KO options; Use Blunt Kinsects. For those hounds looking to easily extract rare materials from tails, use Severing Kinsects.

Kinsect Trees:

• Initial Blunt Kinsects come from the Mal Drome Tree.
• Severing Kinsects are descendants of the Cauld Drone Tree.

Kinsect Powder Types:

Every Kinsect possesses an individual powder type, which grants additional Kinect powder abilities:
